Got to eat at the Stove if visiting Mammoth !

Ya have to eat here if staying in the Mammoth Area. Good breakfast food....love the old mountain feel of the restaurant. Expect to wait if going on a Sat or Sunday morning...but worth the wait.

Had dinner there 3 times in the last year. The food is vastly improved compared to how it has been the last 20+ years, while still not as good as when it first opened. Prices have increased significantly but still within reason. Addition of the prime rib dinner is very nice. Burgers now are thick and juicy. Mammoth Brew draft... More

Skinny, red-frizzy-haired waitress, we were told her name is Victoria, was totally rude, her behavior totally uncalled for; she started out with an awful attitude & when we commented on it, she went off; we recorded her tirade & will be posting it; we were a party of 9, including 2 children who were startled by her outburst; she seemed... Good was good, traditional home-cooking. Coffee was very weak and bland. Staff was friendly. would recommend for breakfast, but get your coffee fix elsewhere first.

The food was really good. There's always a line every time we drive by. The portion I ordered was huge that I shared it with a friend.

We snuck in just in time, because once again there was a long line to get some country cookin' breakfast. Large portions, eggs cooked appropriately, and fast service. Potatoes were a bit on the salty side this time. I opted for a side of fruit for our toddler and it was a good portion and nice variety. We had just... More

We'd been to The Stove for breakfast before and it was great, so we thought we'd give dinner a try. That was a big mistake and we should have questioned eating there for dinner when there were only 2 other tables filled. Service was very good. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. He suggested the chicken fried steak, but it... More

We were staying at the Mammoth Creek Hotel which is literally across the road from the The Stove Restaurant. Down to earth interior with booths. I ordered the prime rib roast which was excellent a.nd came with a choice of starter, I had the people and ham soup which was very tasty, my wife had a salad, along with a... More
