Out looking for a less expensive but good food restaurant and remembered Roberto's being recommended to us. Stopped in on a Monday evening. Parking lot full, and so was the restaurant. Waited for 5 minutes before a table was available. Well worth the wait. Immediately greeted by staff, and led to a table where fresh chips and salsa were served... More

Again we made our stop at Roberto's Mexican Café. We were making our annual trip to the Friends of Bodie Day and were staying in Mammoth Lakes. We visited Roberto's on Sunday evening 8/10/14 and went upstairs to the 'bar" area. We were greeted right away and drink orders taken. Fresh chips and salsa were brought to the table and... More

My favorite is always the Spinach Enchilada. Can't find it at Mexican restaurants in other locations so look forward to this delicious treat. Service is friendly and responsive. Helpings are generous. A must stop when you are in Mammoth Lakes.

Roberto's is crowded for a good reason - the food is fantastic, the servers are so personable, and the margueritas/tequilla is spot on. This is one of our "go-to's" when in Mammoth, fall or summer.

Who knew? Very lovely waitresses. Nice terrace with fine flower garden border. Best part was the food. More authentic than I have had in years in L.A. I ordered a cheese tamale. Could not believe the flavor. Same goes for the refried beans and rice. Will go again.

There is nothing worse than BAD mexican food! The salsa and guac tasted like they had come from a jar. The nachos were soggy. Worst of all - I had the "Roberto salad", and at the time I remember thinking that chicken really shouldn't taste like tuna... The rest of the trip was almost ruined but a tummyache and vomitting...

They would have gotten a perfect 5 except for some minor glitches. The otherwise, very attentive waiter forgot to take our kid's drink order and our appetizer salads were not timed correctly so that we received our food before we were finished with the salads..other than that, the portions are huge, the flavors are correct, the food is fresh and... The food here was excellent. The portions are ridiculously large. Even if you are hungry, split a meal. We will be back next time we are in Mammoth.

Roberto`s has become another must visit when we come to Mammoth. The food is excellent. Last visit I had a chicken tostada. The lettuce was fresh, it had a ton of chicken, and the shell was crisp. My son ordered a bean burrito off of the kid`s meal & it was enormous. My husband and I enjoy the Cadillac margaritas.... More

I recently went on a road trip around California, every meal I had was really surprisingly good, until I got here!! I ordered the combination plate of chicken taco and pork tamale with Mexican rice and whole beans. The waitress got my order wrong by giving me refried beans instead of whole beans and the whole thing was just terrible!!... More
