Good Food Good Service

During my most recent vacation in Mammoth Lakes I had dinner twice at Roberto's ordering different meals each time. Both were very good and so was the service. this is a typical mexican restaurant. Nothing special, but not bad either. Service is usually quick and friendly. Best part is that the salsa they serve is actually spicy!

Roberto's has added a cantina on the second level that claims to have the same menu as downstairs. Menu may be the same, but food quality sure is not. Cantina is mainly a sports bar with mediocre food added. Stay downstairs. You can still get the marguarita's

Roberto's seems to be a popular place...Always noise coming from the windows upstairs. Seating downstairs ( inside and out) and more seating and a bar scene upstairs. Up the stairs and seated immediately. TVs all over the place with sports on. Chips and salsa on the table ( chips okay but salsa was weak--tasted canned). More gringo style than mexican... More

Robertos food is good. Margaritas could be good- there is no alcohol in them. Cost $10 each. Ask for the shot on the side. Good service.

I last visited Roberto's at 2 PM on a summer week day. I love margaritas and I was reminded that Roberto's offers a wide selection of tequilas and makes a variety of margaritas that vie for "the best" anywhere! The food is basic Mexican but well prepared and in generous proportions, and again, as good or better than anywhere else.... More

Recommended by our bnb host as the "local's spot". It didn't hurt that it was just a few minutes away from where we were staying. We are creatures of habit, and are big fans of chicken fajitas when we eat mex. We are not disappointed here! Huge portion (we share), juicy tasty chicken. Good guac. Order the "flour tortilla chips",... More

Very busy but great service. Food was good and portions were huge. Stick with regular margaritas- the specialty ones were only fair. Go early and beat the crowd or be prepared for relaxing long evening. Get drink at upstairs cantina for your wait. It's worth the wait.

I went hear for some drinks and a snack. The bar upstairs is very nicely decorated with a tropical theme. There are some big windows to look outside. I ordered a cocktail which was great. I also ordered an enchilada. This was good as well. Not great, but good. My only complaint was it was very hot up there.

We visited on a Wednesday evening and it turned out to be half price margarita night - result! It was very busy and we were quoted 45 minute wait for a table downstairs but then went to the bar upstairs and found a table straight away so ate up there instead. We ordered a variety of dishes which were ok... More
