Greatest soup in a long while!!

I read reviews on the Poblano bisque but had no idea how great it was! Definetly the highlight of my meal and a recipe I must try to recreate. I had the Osso Buco which was slightly overcooked but still had fantastic flavor. Can't recall what the hubby had (maybe filet mignon) but he was beyond... read more

This restaurant was good but overall I would pass and go to mammoth. Went with family and soon discovered that it was way too expensive....dad and hubby had steak and it was to die for....salad, kids meal (spaghetti) and risotto was average. Would have been a nice couples dinner but had the whole family ( parents, hubby, 2 kids and... More

We had an awesome, excellent time and meal. Sweet Potato with ginger soup, sea bass with parsnips puree, carrots pureed and roasted red onion. Fabulous, and I don't use that word much. For dessert, Steve our much appreciated waiter, suggested the Apple pie with carmel, marspone and home made ice cream. What a winner. The wine list is perfect. For... More

We had dinner at the restaurant one night and everything was impressive, especially considering the remote location. Beef Wellington was excellent and the Bananas Foster was both experiential and delicious. The food and ambience were so good we came back the next night and ate dinner in the bar.

We were staying at the Convict Lake Resort and as a winter special received a gift certificate as part of our package. The restaurant only serves dinner in the winter. We were seated next to the centralized island fireplace and with snow coming down and the sun setting it made for a very romantic atmosphere. The service was fantastic, in... More

This is not not first visit to this restaurant, but as it was my husbands birthday I wanted something special. WE got a booth next to a wonderful fireplace on this chilly night. We stayed for 3 hours, and had wonderful service. We had custom cocktails, mixed to perfection. The sweet potato ginger soup was to die for. The Caesar... More

I took my wife here for her birthday and had called the restaurant in advance to let them know. Judging by the $35 main dishes, I expected excellence. We arrived early but we seated late, and the first thing the waiter said was that they had run out of the Risotto, which happened to be the only dish my vegan... More

We have enjoyed dining at the Restaurant at Convict Lake many times. Its one of the most enjoyable places to have dinner in the Eastern Sierras. The service and food here is outstanding. I like the duck. We usually order a bottle of wine to enjoy and make an evening of it. For dessert, bananas foster is so nice. The... More

We have eaten at The Restaurant at Convict Lake many times. In fact, it is one of our favorites in the Mammoth Lakes area. Firstly, we love the lake and always plan our dinner time such that we can be at the lake for sunset before we go to the restaurant. The food is consistently wonderful; the bread is incredible,... We camped at Convict Lake Campground and walked over the bridge for the pizza everyone was talking about. Everyone we meet. They were right on. Bonus was family of deer we got to hang out with on the way back to our campsite. Great experience!
