Fabulous food. Not cheap - but worth it. Excellent fish dishes. But excellent everything. Book early - it gets full.
A little pricey, but the food selection is excellent. Great and lively bar and nice eating area. Can get surprisingly busy but that only underscores its good food & drink. I had the Rack of Lamb and it was really good and a generous portion at that. I would also recommend the house salad. They had Halibut on special one... More
Best Dining experience in Mammoth, I've been going to Mammoth almost every weekend this ski season. I've eaten at Nevados a few times and every time the service has been first class. I've had the Filet Mignon each time and it is the best I've ever had. The server, Clay, was exceptional. The first time eating the Filet Mignon, I... More
So much sauce on many items you cannot taste the actual food. been there 3 times and each time the bill was added up incorrectly, they hand write out the bill. If you like sitting at a bar with old types that drink way too much and order over priced cocktails it the place for you. So many better choices... More
Definite the nicest place in Mammoth. While it was seemingly quiet at every other place in town, there was a lively crowd at Nevados. Great buzz in the bar area and a nice dining scene. Our waiter was very professional, sometimes a rarity in a ski town. I had a glazed salmon and it was excellent. I don't remember what... More
From the service to the food to the company, everything was perfect. Karl (aka Carlos) was perfect - I had the ahi and we started with calamari. Highly recommend!
I once again had a wonderful dinner at Nevados in Mammoth. I have been coming here many years and Nevados never fails to deliver a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant is not very large so reservation s are really a must. The restaurant is easily located a short walk across the street from the village. As you walk in the... More
From the atmosphere one wouldn't expect the absolutely outstanding quality of the dishes we enjoyed. Of the four dinners served to the adults at our table, there wasn't one that didn't get rave reviews. Nevados is small (63 in the restaurant section and maybe 40+ in the bar) and rather simple in its atmosphere. This lends a bit to the... More
That pretty much sums it up. We eat there at least a couple of times a year and have always enjoyed the experience. The only negative is that it can be noisy when busy -- as one of the other reviewers noted, it helps to sit by the windows.
We went on a Saturday night on an off weekend and the restaurant was still lively. We were seated immediately by the window. The waitress was very helpful in her recommendations and was very attentive. We shared a salad and that was plenty for us to share. We ordered a Rack of Lamb and Osso Busco and both were cooked...
