We've eaten at Skadi several times over the years and just returned for a special Christmas Eve dinner. It did not disappoint. Aside from the Lakefront restaurant at Tamarack Lodge, this is the best-quality food in town, in my opinion. With mushrooms in season, I had a heavenly wild mushroom crepe as an appetizer and then a lighter sea bass... More

This was our second visit to Skadi. We made a point of coming back because the food was excellent and the atmosphere was very inviting. The second floor restaurant has windows all along the dining room with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains, and is very sleek and modern. It is located in a very 'off the beaten path' shopping... More

We've been to Skadia on last 2 trips to Mammoth, and great experiences both times. Ambience is tops, food authentic European, service friendly. Best place we've found in Mammoth. We'll be back! More

Went on Sunday night. Sat at the bar. Terrifically attentive service -- not too much, not too little. Mushroom soup was excellent, salmon was even better and the panna cotta was even better than that. Have been 3x and will be back again soon. I highly recommend Skadi. More

If this is really the best that can be found in Mammoth, well, then the town should definitely improve its dining offering. The restaurant is OK: it looks very pretty when you enter, but then you see the fake wooden walls, and feel cold air coming from the windows when you sit close. For the food (btw, the menu on... The host was extremely pretentious and snobby. We did want to sit on a bench with other diners inches away and were told we needed to take this seat or wait for a spot at the bar. So glad we waited for a spot at the beer and wine only bar, because the food was spectacular!! Decided to give the... More

Skadi's was highly recommended during my husband and my trip to Mammoth. We went with high expectations, especially because we looked at the menu before hand and thought the menu items looked appetizing. The atmosphere was quite warm and inviting, even though its on the second floor of a shopping center. My husband ordered the lamp chops with caesar salad... More

Eaten here twice. Both times excellent - really a cut above. Interesting and utterly delicious menu - great game, fish, wine list (though you can byo for $20 corkage). Perfect service. More

I have been eating in ski towns forever. whether it be trying to catch a great happy hour or searching for that secret spot with the great desserts. Skadi's rest is something you cannot miss while in Mammoth. Do you love Venison? the apps or the entree are something that I dream about all summer long. How about a great... More

Lakefront, Petra's and Convict are better. In that order. Skadi's is the fourth best in town. Still good though, considering there are 30-40 in town. More
