Eaten here twice. Both times excellent - really a cut above. Interesting and utterly delicious menu - great game, fish, wine list (though you can byo for $20 corkage). Perfect service. more

I have been eating in ski towns forever. whether it be trying to catch a great happy hour or searching for that secret spot with the great desserts. Skadi's rest is something you cannot miss while in Mammoth. Do you love Venison? the apps or the entree are something that I dream about all summer long. How about a great... more

Lakefront, Petra's and Convict are better. In that order. Skadi's is the fourth best in town. Still good though, considering there are 30-40 in town. more

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at this top-rated restaurant. The service was good and the presentation was nicely done. We would definitely go back. The location is a little strange - on the top floor of a strip-mall. But, being on the 2nd floor provides beautiful views of the majestic mountains. more

We always go to Skadi every time we are in Mammoth. The food is delicious and original. We've taken our friends there and everyone loves it. The service is great and the atmosphere very pleasant. A must when visiting Mammoth. more

We had heard from several people that this was a great restaurant, so we were excited to try it. I loved the atmosphere--it was different from what I expected, but interesting visually with that high peaked wooden ceiling. I was very disappointed with my dinner, though. The appetizer was pretty good; I ordered the hamachi. But my husband and I... more

Unless it's Monday or Tuesday (they're closed). Fine dining is a passion for me whether it's New York, L.A., or Paris, and Skadi's fits. Hands down best place in the Eastern Sierra. Best appetizers, best courses, and fabulous wine list. The chef has deep background in culinary schools and it shows (he's well regarded not just in Mammoth but out... more

First course a lovely zuchinni soup; divine pan roasted salmon with brown butter toasted pine nuts & fried capers served over savory butternut squash; which made a fabulous combination of seasoned flavors and exquisite cuisine. Light but more than fulfilling. The swordfish was prepared equally as well and satisfying. Dessert was caramelized Macadamia nut and vanilla bean parfait -- served... more

We were very disappointed in the food we ordered. The restaurant was empty so the service was adequate. We had champagne and wine (very nice). We ordered the soup of the day which was a mushroom soup (very bland, disappointing, didn't even finish. Needed SALT). Also had the ceasar salad which, again, needed salt. The lettuce was fresh, tho. Had... more
