On a recent trip to Mammoth, we decided to have dinner at Mogul. What a treat! I had the pork tenderloin, and it was one of the best meals I have had in many years. The service was excellent, and the server cooks your meal. The meal was so amazing that we went back for dinner two nights later -... More

Seems like most tourist towns have that one restaurant that has been around a long time, and is renowned for having a consistent look and quality of food/service for years and years. Mogul definitely fits that description. The look is rustic mountain town, our waitress was old-school classy, and the food was delicious. I had a fresh trout special, my... More

If you are looking for fine dining after your day on the slopes, or hiking/biking the many trails around Mammoth Mountain, then check out Mogul Restaurant. Your server also acts as chef, cooking up your steak, chicken, ribs, or fish. I had the scallops and my spouse had the fresh trout. Both were delicious. Vegetables were fair, too many green... More

The service is very welcoming. The food is good - we had the flat iron steak, which tasted good but wasn't the best we've had in terms of texture admittedly (a bit chewier than it should be). The mashed potato could also be mashed a bit more (or the potatoes could be cooked a tiny bit longer). The waitress was... More

Pricy for what you get. Service was excellent. Husband had rack of lamb, good. I had pork tenderloin, also good. We had the scallop appetizer which was good but it was three little scallops for $15. Was good but probably won't return.

Very friendly and welcoming and the food was great. Cooked by our server just as we ordered. Certainly recommend this to everyone.

Awful, awful, awful. My fiancé and I came here for a nice steak dinner and left $130 poorer and sorely disappointed. We weren't aware that our server would literally be cooking our steak before we arrived and when we were told we assumed they would then at least know how to cook one....wrong. Ordered the filet "medium rare, on the... More

Mammoth is a resort town. So expect to pay more. But by any standard, Mogul is a nice place. Great wine selection, salad bar, and grilled foods (salmon, steak, scallops, etc.). Make reservations, it's not a big place. Then come early and have a drink in the small, but full, bar. I had a very respectable chardonnay, my wife a... More

The food was flavorful and interesting. But the coolest part was our server grilled the flat iron steak and salmon perfectly, exactly as we ordered it. The salted ice cream was yummy! Very attentive staff.
