This was newly opened when we visited in June 2014. It is Chinese/American in style but we had a problem with the spicyness of the food. We are ok generally with hot spicy food but when everything on the menu (including sweet and sour pork) is very hot it gets to be too much. We also had problems seeing the... More

Aaaamazing food! We came here late Friday night very hungry and tired. The service was great and they managed to impress us on every level despite this. I can recommend the Kung Pau shrimp, spicy but the best main course I have had in a very long time. The prices are also great, generally everything about this place is perfect.

Dined while staying at the Sierra Nevada Resort. I wouldn't call it traditional Chinese but we still very much enjoyed the food.

love the atmosphere, the wine list, the food! They have found the best of the various asian cuisine and brought it together at this restaurant. Go out on a date here, too, it's romantic too boot!

It's asian fusion and I have to tell you, how cool that you can drive 5 hours and find a restaurant like this one in the middle of the mountains. They open only seasonally, but when they are open, definitely head in! The atmosphere is romantic and quiet, the chef terrific, and the wine list quite substantial. I had the... More

Nice looking place. Had me worried when at 6:00 on a Saturday night we were the only ones there. Pot stickers tasted like they had freezer burn. My orange chicken ...well I would just say that I have had better chicken nuggets at McDonalds. The chef cared not a lick at the observation. I won't be back and I doubt... More

Ate here because it was next door to the Sierra Nevada Lodge where we were staying. The atmosphere was romantic and the food is delicious. The outstanding staff set the tone for a really nice night.

The confusion reflected below stems from the fact that the restaurant had been closed for over a year and this week opened with new menu and chef. The menu is creative and great value. Try the shrimp and walnut salad. The halibut was very nice. Don't miss the house made sorbets, intensely flavorful. Nice wine list and great decor, certainly... More

We were told we were at Red Lantern for there opening night, but judging by the reviews here something got lost in the translation from American to Australian. We had no booking and were told there was a 15 minute wait for a table. We waited in a very cold and drafty entrance for about 10 minutes. It was somewhat... More

I loved that you could order a few of the appetizers and share them and still have an amazing yummy dinner that is still affordable.
