Unique in Mammoth

We entered running from the rain; tired, thirsty and hungry. It was the week before the season started and the Village was rather quiet. We were delighted to find so many food and wine choices plus excellent desserts made fresh that day by the Chef. I enjoyed my Cab very much. Could it have been the cold, rainy weather, maybe... Went here for lunch and sat outside with our two dogs. Server came with water for the dogs right away and was very friendly and helpful. We got burgers which were very nice and tasty. Prices were very cheap and we will absolutely go here again next time we are in mammoth.

Toomey's was a decent enough restaurant for a Saturday night out in Mammoth Lakes. Boasting the "best burger in the world" didn't quite live up to those expectations, but was a tasty burger, none-the-less. Ate outdoors, beer and service were good. Not a bad choice for a sports bar type restaurant.

You can not go wrong here, the food is great, the Chief is world famous, and the location, meaning Mammoth Lakes is great both in winter but most of all in Spring, Summer, and Fall...much more to do other than putting sticks on your feet and falling down the side of a mountain...

While I realize this is meant to be a low-priced, casual sports bar restaurant for the beer-drinking, NASCAR-loving types, the wine-by-the-glass prices nonetheless are ridiculous. Charging $8.50 for a glass of McManus Pinot Grigio that tastes like a cheap blah Chardonnay and probably retails for under $10 a bottle is inexcusable. I had a house glass of Pinot Grigio earlier... We came here after a long hike at Devils Postpile National Monument. We were looking for substantive food with good vegetables (we're not vegetarian, but we like veggies) and we found exactly what we wanted here. It was pretty busy (Saturday night in June), but the wait staff was extremely attentive and the kitchen was extremely fast. We had the... More

We recently ordered take-out from Toomey's. My wife and I should have split the portion of Gumbo as there was plenty of it, filled with lots of fish. The staff was great and very friendly. Though there is no happy hour, the food makes up for it 100 fold. A definite return visit is in order.

We visited on a Monday evening when many other local restaurants were closed. There were 2 servers on duty. We found a table and seated ourselves but had to go seek menu's plus read the whiteboards above the kitchen counter. When eventually our waiter arrived he was friendly and when we ordered did advise us not to over order appetizers... More

The hamburger was everything they claimed. Delicious. Fries were the best. Mid afternoon so not many customers but the server was excellent.
