We enjoyed our visit to CJ's, which despite being busy, managed to provide very good service and very good food. The food was obviously fresh and particular mention must be made of the chicken soup, which was excellent, packed with chicken and extremely tasty. The restaurant promotes local craft beers and they made for an excellent accompaniment with our meal.... More

Our dinner at CJ's was amazing, and not just because it was our first "civilized" meal after a week of camping! We went full on with apps, dinner, and dessert, and we were pleased by all of our selections. The food was good and the portions were ample. The highlight was definitely the dessert round. The maple glazed donuts were... More

We were a part of 4, my friend enjoyed her soup, but we were all dissapointed with our Burgar's. We had read that they had won the Burgar's battle as was so looking forward to trying one. We are not fussy diners, but this was the worst meal we had experienced on our vacation. My husband did complain to the... More

If you are in Mammoth Lakes make sure you visit this place, most amazing burgers i have tasted, we are on. Road trip from San Fran to Vegas via Yosemite and Mammoth and this is by far the best burger we have had so far! Portions are massive, order a starter to share as they could feed a family, your... My wife, our son and one of his friends had dinner here last month. It was OK but we won't go there again. The food was OK but nothing special (the fish and chips that one of the boys had was not very good). Service was, oddly, enthusiastic but fairly poor. Though the restaurant was not very busy when we... More

Stopping over in Mammoth after travelling from Las Vegas then onto Yosemite the following day! Both my friend and I were hungry after a long drive here. Had a walk down the road to see what restaurants we could find, and happened along CJ's Grill. Looked to be quite busy so gave it a whirl.....definitely not disappointed! Both had the... More

Today took a Bishop friend and her daughter-in-law from Virginia to CJ's. We had a fabulous lunch. The french fries are freshly made from potatoes, not frozen baked, the hamburger cooked perfectly sitting on a delightful bun. $8.00 lunch special. The price is unbelievable. The bathroom is lovely and the environment is very clean. On a lovely day sit outside... More

So my extended family visited CJs this week for dinner. Let me start by saying our waiter Cody was plenty nice but aside from that, it was horrible from the start: 1. Our Salads and Soup took 30 Minutes to get to our table. People who sat after us, received their salads, soups, aps before us? Makes no sense as... More

When on vacation, we expect an experience while eating out. This was drab. No seasoning on the steak, lasagne so-so. We grill at home much better than this. Giant let-down. Pass on this place.

CJ's won the local Best Burger contest last week, and the award was well-deserved. The menu isn't too long, but the choices hit just about anything you'd like. Salads, sandwiches, burgers, and home-made desserts. Casual and friendly atmosphere. This couple really cares about their guests. AND it's one of the few spots west of the Mississippi to get some Cincinnati... More
