As a very selective eater I was thrilled to be presented with such a wonderful breakfast. I had the cheese and bacon omelet with sliced tomatoes on the side. These tomatoes were the best I have eaten and would love to know what kind they were. The setting, service and food made for a great experience.

Dined at Whitebark Restaurant last night. In hindsight, we selected a restaurant that obtains most of their business from the winter season, so their staffing is slim in mid-summer. Still, we waited for several minutes at the entrance door near the "Wait Here" sign before a passing-by lounge waiter inquired if we wished to be seated. We soon learned that... More

Due to many negative reviews, we had low expectations. BUT we left the restaurant with a big smile 😎 We had The Duck, The Salomon and the Short Rib, all of them at high level with good taste and not too big portions! We ate it all!! Dawn, our waitress, did a good job all night long and she was... More

Our two main courses were crude and overfacing. The potato "mash" - I was thinking.how the chef must hate potatoes!! Whatever happened to the principal "if I wouldn't eat it myself I wouldn't offer it to anyone else" quote Michel Roux. This is not fine dining restaurant but you pay fine dining prices! You may love reheated - and inexplicably... More

The Whitebark is inside the Westin Hotel, which is difficult both to locate (it's on a side street) and to find non-guest parking for. That's too bad, because it's probably the best modern facility restaurant in Mammoth. While not our favorite restaurant in town, it is on the short list, with sometimes exotic food choices and always a good wine... More

Fast, efficient service, good breakfast. Priced as with most 4 star hotels. Very nice hostess and waitress.

Last October there was a sushi bar and good food. Now, no sushi chefs (3 left at once, what does that tell you?) and the food was a mess. Tuna tataki salad was dressed with what tasted like straight wasabi and rendered it inedible. Salads were a snore and the duck confit quesadillas were a veritable salt lick. Cocktails were... More

With so many choices of apps at 1/2 half off we just went wild and really enjoyed ourselves. The draft beer was cold and very good - and well worth the 1/2 off price.

We've been to this restaurant 3 times- once for lunch and the rest for dinner. Somehow the only consistency has to do with the slow service and getting the orders wrong. Maybe because of the ambience,or the prices, but it seems like this should be a better place with better service. It is not terrible, but it is overpriced and... More

We have thoroughly enjoyed the 2 dinners we have had here. The food is well prepared and nicely presented. On our last visit my mate had seared Ahi Tuna and I had roasted pork tenderloin. We both were very pleased. They have a nice wine list including one of our favorites - Talbott Sleepy Hollow Pinot Noir. Service was attentive... More
