We wanted a special place to celebrate our daughter's 19th and Whitebark delivered. Each of our dishes was delicious with multiple layers of flavor. The service was excellent and we really appreciated the birthday candle on our daughter's outstanding Creme Brulee dessert. Yes, the restaurant is a bit expensive but not unreasonable considering it is in a Westin resort. Yes,... More

To be fair, we stopped here for a late lunch on the day we arrived. We cannot speak to the quality of dinner yet, though I would hope it would be much better than their lunch offering. The buffalo chicken wrap I had was an odd mix of chicken and greens, wrapped in a tortilla-like bread, and drowned in a... More

We stayed here 5 nights and eat to dinner a Tuna which was served perfectly, but the mashed potato was not warm, this is sad when paying. quite a lot, My wife ordered Pasta with duck, tasted well. Breakfast is great but $7 or $8 for a smothie and $12-15 for an omelett and $8 for Granula is quite expensive.... More

We booked Whitebark for Valentine's Day expecting a bit of higher end dining in a ski town. What we got was a hotel restaurant overrun by children and a disappointing dinner for all. My husband's "elk" chop was no bigger than 3 ounces. Not physiologically possible unless an elk embryo. What a rip off! The chef should have pulled the... More

We went for breakfast yesterday (7 of us) at Whitebark tired, soared and grouchy after few days of skiing, in a mood that is hard to please. Some ordered breakfast and some lunch. When are meals arrived our eyes got wide open and started salivating. They made an oatmeal dish look so appetizing I couldn't believe it. Everything tasted great... More

Although this restaurant has mixed reviews, I thought I would try it anyway. I tried to make a reservation both on Open Table and by phone. For this particular trip, I was traveling alone. The restaurant would not accommodate a reservation for one person. They will not get my business when I return to Mammoth with others.

Been here a few time is the past. Sushi was really good. Just went last weekend and the sushi was awful. Couldnt eat it and we where worried we would get sick. It was a $65 experiment on bad sushi. Even the miso soup was bad. Not sure what happened but it has gone down

We arrived to town late on Christmas day and had limited choices for a light meal and a drink. Whitebark filled the bill with a pleasing atmosphere and delicious small plates of unusual fare. Delicious Mac & cheese with truffle oil and tiny lamb chops to name a few. Local beer was also on hand. The only unpleasantness was the... More
