We had two dinners and one breakfast here, because we were staying in the adjacent hotel. I loved my continental breakfast, which included beautiful, seasonal berries and fruit salad, granola and yogurt, and a large croissant. It was generous without being oversized; my husband's egg breakfast was also excellent. For dinner, we had a melt-in-your-mouth hangar steak, cooked exactly as... More

The service was bad. The price was high. It was not good food. We waited 10 min before we were even noticed waiting. Same with the table service.

From the diverse wine selection to the quality of food, Rafters exceeded my expectations. Being a wine enthusiast, my dear friends know that I first seek out great wine establishments, knowing that great food likely follows. In this case, my strategy proved correct again! The Director of Wine, Chip Ermish, hits the ball "out of the park" with his depth... More

This isn't for people who like conversation with their meal. A loud BINGO game was going on. Dining Room & Lounge/Bar are separated by only a partial partition which doesn't help with noise control at all. All prices are "a la carte" which means expensive.

Dear sandy_scout, Thank you for providing us with this feedback regarding your recent dinner in one of our three wonderful on-site restaurants. Rafters is home to live music in Mammoth, with blues, rock, jazz and more at the Rafters Lounge – Monday evening is Bingo Night; Tuesday night we have Karaoke; Thursdays are Local’s Night; and we regularly have live... The staff went out of their way to help you. They swapped and changed the menu around for me. Nothing to much trouble. Breakfast also excellent.

I was so surprised to find that Rafters has a killer breakfast! I'm a big hash brown lover and the parmesan hash browns are crazy good. The fruit is fresh and yummy, the english muffins... where do they get those! They are so good! Gotta love the views of the mountains. All in all a great breakfast at a surprisingly... More

These guys really need to get their act sorted out. We had both dinner and breakfast here & both were a complete shambles. Dinner - wrong orders, mains before starters, cold food, wrong drinks, wrong bills, staff blaming one another, staff not acting on complaints, no towels in the restrooms (reported three times), having the TV on above the head... Dear Andy F., Thank you very much for your valued feedback; please accept our apologies for the poor service you experienced. We were clearly understaffed, but that was not a matter for which you and your group should have been so inconvenienced. We have learned from that situation, and have made changes to our staffing in order to provide better... More
