If you are looking for good Cali mex food, this is a great place to go. It is pleasant sitting outside near a fire lantern. The service and the food was great. Huge portions.

With over 400 different tequillas, it was a difficult but highly enjoyable choice to make. Anejo Sin Rival was perfect! Quinoa was flavorful and nicely presented with grilled tomatoes. Also highly recommend the fish tacos. Servers made the atmosphere complete! This will be a regular on our fishing trips.

This restaurant is located in the Village. It has a large patio area with a view of other business and activities. The food and drinks are good and they offer a good happy hour menue.

Enjoyed wine and beer during happy hour, also had good prices on food, wings, nachos etc. Raining that day, so had to eat inside, which was disappointing as they had a lovely patio.

Thanks so much! Sorry you missed out on the patio vibe. It is wonderful out there when the weather permits both summer and winter. Safe travels! More

Gomez's is a very good Mexican restaurant that serves great tacos and cool margaritas. The patio offers a good view of Mammoth Lakes Village and has things for young kids to play with and they also offered etch-a-sketches for the older kids... Our wait staff was excellent and offer suggestions on what to eat and drink. I will go back... More

You usually do not think of ribs at a Mexican restaurant but time to think differently. Their as use is great. A sweet chipotle sauce. Make sure you get extra napkins.

So glad you liked the ribs! We make that sauce using a few secret ingredients including a very smoky distilled Mezcal... of course, that's just the Gomez way. Thanks for the shout. Hope you have a wonderful summer. Salud! More

We ate at Gomez on Tuesday 22 July 2014, the previous reviews suggest that this place is fantastic/good/ok. All I can say is the service and food was awful, staff running about like headless chickens, there didn't appear to be any system or management. When the food arrived it was stone cold, we ordered fajitas which in my experience are... More

Well we are so sorry. Just know we read every review and discuss them with Management. We would love to have a second chance as obviously there are many positive experiences as well, but we understand completely that we let you down. If by chance you would consider us in the future, our General Manager would be happy to meet... More

TRENDY BUT NOT MEXICAN ENOUGH! Pretty spendy and just decent food! But being in the village at base of the gondola, I guess that figures...? Laurie the afternoon bartender was the only highlight!

Thanks so much for stopping by. No doubt about half our menu are traditional family recipes (but "authentic Mexican" can vary a lot from one part of the country to another) the other is perhaps best categorized as Latin Fusion. We greatly appreciate your stopping by our place and Mammoth / Yosemite. Safe travels! More

If you are looking for a GREAT margarita then look no more! All of the food is fresh with a great presentation but the margaritas are to die for! If you are a family with young kids (under 12) then you can enjoy your margarita while the kids play in a large sand box filled with sand toys. I always... More

Now located in the Village, Gomez continues to produce great Mexican food in a more upscale setting. You can eat a huge meal or a light one. The albondigas soup is excellent--doesn't skimp on the meatballs.
