My wife and I had a very romantic dinner here. We thought the service was fantastic, especially since the restaurant was extremely busy the night we went (a Saturday night). My wife had the soup and vegetable special whereas I had a salad and the fish special. We both thought the soup was too salty so asked that the salt... More

Loved the service and the food! I ate then realized I had forgotten my wallet in my room. No fuss was made, they were sensitive to my embarrassment and very accommodating! Lovely place!

I had a server by the name of Joey, and I was VERY pleased with him and his waiting. He made me WANT to love the entire thing. The atmosphere was cozy and tranquil, not too loud or crazy. In a very nice area and the restaurant itself is gorgeous! However, the food was mediocre at best. I got their... More

I think you have our restaurant confused with somewhere else, we have no pizza or chili on our menu,(never in our history) no servers named Joey. We have one male bartender and all other wait staff are female (all three of them). We are a very small restaurant located in Tamarack lodge, Thank you, and feel free to try us... More

By far one of the finest restaurants in Mammoth, has a wonderful wild meat menu. For a special occasion or a big splurge this is the restaurant. Menu is very expensive, but worth it. Have eaten here many times over the years and the food just gets better. Reservations a must, seating is limited.

We loved this place for lunch. We ate outdoors and they allowed us to have our dog with us. Billy the manager and our server were awesome and then even bourght water out for our dog without asking. The food was excellent and our views were spectacular!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We both had trout for lunch (we dined at Convict lake the day... More

Creative dishes (yes, it's not cheap), charming small atmosphere done well and a fantastic server made for a great night. We heard good things from a friend who mentioned they were written up in Sunset Magazine. We called for a reservation and got lucky since we were mid-season on a Tuesday and it was only our table and one other... More

I have gone to this lovely restaurant for over 30 years Going to The Lakefront was always a wonderful part of Mammoth.Unfortunately the food no longer makes this charming place worth the trouble. The food is almost as good as other restaurants in the area costing half of Lakefront's prices. For instance, on the trout menu, nothing went together-too much fusion,overly... More

Tamarack Lodge is the setting for this small and charming dining room. Chef Bobby Brown uses fresh local ingredients and has a magical touch with veggies. The menu runs from salmon and trout to Elk and beef. Our trout and salmon dishes were superb, moist and perfectly prepared. The beet and watermelon salad was like eating candy. Everything is prepared... More

The Lakefront Restaurant, which is by Tamarack Lake rather than being a couple of miles down the road in Mammoth proper, is small in an old log building and that means a short menu. But what they offer is always superlative. Reservations are usually need and if you want a lake-view table, then you should arrive at the 5:30 opening.... More
