A lovely italian restaurant, warm and welcoming

I went with a couple of girlfriends to have dinner at Tre Scaliini a couple of weeks ago. We'd heard a lot about this charming place, tucked discreetly between several older buildings near the main part of Bethlehem. Our server was attentive and helpful, we each had a different entree and we all... read more

Nice little place with excellent food. But the little things will keep me from going back – charging cork fees and full price for coffee refills, which are just Keurig-made.

I recently went to the restaruant for my first visit. I attended with five other women. We were greeted, seated and made to feel right at home. It's a lovely little place but it is tiny. Parking is in the rear of the restaurant and there is a rear and front entrance. It is a BYOB. We loved the eclectic... More

I called ahead for a reservation since it was our anniversary. The owner said he would take good care of us. He never showed. We had the mussels and that was a rip off, then went on to have the seafood pasta. Skimpy on the seafood and a small portion of pasta. Too many other good restaurants in the area... More

Italian restaurant with casual atmosphere and dim lighting. While I was reviewing the menu, I was surprised to see NYC prices in a Bethlehem PA restaurant. Let me start with the appetizers. We had the stuffed pasta with pears, eggplant parm. and polpo. All dishes were tasty and pleasant, but extremely small. The polpo consisted of 3 pieces, just enough... More

I have dined here several times and attended a lovely bridal shower here last year. Each experience was exceptional and the prices were appropriate for genuine homemade dishes in a well appointed dining room with excellent knowledgeable servers. This is not a run of the mill red sauce and eggplant parmigiana type restaurant. Homemade pappardelle, fresh fish and grilled octopus... More

I like asking the wait staff what they think is exceptionally prepared, and am often guided by it. In this case, I do think we got the best they had, and both pasta dishes, while certainly edible, had a significant imbalance where one element highly overpowered other elements of the dish. It was mid-week, and I'm wondering if there was... More

My wife and I have dined here many times. This is probably our favorite restaurant in the area. The chef/owner Santo is personable and tries to make excellent meals for each of his guests. The food is invariably excellent. The porcini ravoli are my favorite. It is B.Y.O.B. They also do parties, and special occasions. It is small, in the... More

If you are looking for a romantic spot for dinner in Bethlehem, this is our favorite. Chef Santo prepares stunningly excellent and innovative Italian dishes, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is perfect for an intimate dining experience. Chef Santo's porcini mushroom ravioli, sea bass and mixed seafood dishes are among our favorites. Tre Scalini is also BYOB, so... More
