Nice birthday dinner

A group of 8 including 2 children ate here to celebrate a birthday. We were seated in a room with a fireplace however it was still chilly for the 90+ member of our group. Towards the end of our dinner, staff kept opening an outside door so that more wood could be brought in for the fireplace... read more

This is an adorable historic restaurant with lots of space and pleasant service. The only downside is the food. The food certainly wasn't farm to table and didn't seem made from scratch at all. Food was comparable to an Applebees - probably all frozen and dumped from a bag but good.

We went out to diner with a long time friend whom we wanted to talk. This is a great place for this as the restaurant is so quite. The food was very good and done just like we asked, and if you have read any of my other reviews about restaurants I can be very hard to please. I had... More

Went here per the brochure from our hotel & it was a pleasant surprise. Quiet, no loud music playing, no TV's & extra drama as you try to talk & relax from a day on the road. Took our server a bit to get to us (about 10 min) after we were seated, it was not crowded at all just... More

This was recommended to us we went with another couple to celebrate all of our wedding anniversaries. From the time we walked in the service was excellent. The waitress constantly came to our table. She never got lost. She recommended her favorites which we ordered and it was great. This was a great place.

My husband and I were looking for a restaurant other than the typical chain establishments. The wait staff was attentive and professional but the food was fairly basic. I was disappointed the french onion soup wasn't more flavorful and the prime rib wasn't more tender, My husband rated his meal as okay. In conclusion, if you're looking for a great... More

Had a family lunch here, more of a country restaurant to me than a roadhouse but very nice nonetheless. The four of us ordered combinations of salads, french dip, chicken sandwich and a cheesesteak.A nice afternoon with no complaints and a very nice waitress.

Great food in a beautiful (yet casual) setting. Excellent Caesar salad!!!! You MUST upgrade your dinner salad to this divine house specialty! The entree came out a little quickly, but service was attentive. Had a nice old vine zinfandel with great seafood entrees from the evening's specials. Try finishing your meal with the pecan pie

Been here twice now; very dependable! Different lunch specials everyday (love when a website is updated daily) and placing a pick up order is painless. The staff is very accommodating - double checked to make sure there weren't mushrooms in the soup I ordered (I'm allergic). Meals are ready in 10 minutes and they're delicious!! My boyfriend loves my leftovers.... More

We had a small problem with finding the place (new road designations and changes, etc.) but the trial was worth it. We were greeted by the lady at the door and, with a warm smile, showed us to our table. Her daughter was our waitress and was most helpful with area lore, info, etc.She was a grandmother but doesn't look... More
