We have enjoyed several meals at this destination restaurant outside Bethlehem Each meal is a superbly crafted, with creative dishes using locally farmed ingredients. Last Tuesday we shared the Tasting menu with selected wines. Each offering took us in a different gustatory direction. An exquisite single oyster (not local) with a slice of shitake and fruit vinegar set the tone... More

Unbelievable menu with exquisite care given to each ingredient and each plate. Sadly, I am writing this review too late to recall all of the specifics, but have mentioned this place to many, and all that know this place agree it is fabulous. Please go have a nice drink from the bar first, then buckle up for a taste bud... More

Thank you to the Bolete staff for a wonderful anniversary supper. We traveled there after remembering a good dinner but many years ago. They did not disappoint us. They have maintained quality and service to the utmost. The menu is simple and fresh, truly same day freshness as the menu changes daily. Small but simply decorated...cozy yet open...this farmhouse is... More

Still basically undiscovered gourmet standout at reasonable prices. Inventive, creative, local veggies and meats. Good service in small setting where you can hear your friends. Interesting wine list. Bar is popular. Do not miss their Sunday brunch

We're from Bethlehem and have driven by a hundred times. We normally enjoy reservations but thought we would take a chance and stop in for a seat at the bar and they did not disappoint. the hostess was welcoming (opposed to the sometimes off putting "do you have a reservation" and the look of disappointment if you say "no") We... Although Bolete is in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, it draws diners from a wide area. It is worth the drive and even an overnight stopover in Bethlehem. Beautiful old stone former stage coach stop over 300 years old - but the food is perfect for today. A unique surf and turf appetizer was oysters and carpaccio. Another appetizer of smoked trout with... More

Seriously folks, this place deserves a star. Equal to the Thomas Keller's Bouchon in Yountville, California.

My wife and I went to Bolete for a pre-concert meal after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. We were thoroughly impressed. First, the restaurant's decor is quaint, and the dinner music was superb (Fleet Foxes, Band of Horses, etc..). We later found out it was the owner's "mix" from their wedding, which made our romantic date even better! The wine list... More

Bolete is an experience not to be missed! It is actually the kind of place you should plan your trip around. My husband and I sat on the back patio which was quaint and reminded us of time we had spent in Italy at family run establishments. The food hands down some of the best I have ever had. We... More
