Bolete is the best you'll find. Chef Lee Chizmar creates an unbelievable menu from locally grown food. In the right season I have enjoyed zuchini blosoms and other seasonal vegatables. I always start with the oysters. The bar has some of the most unique drinks around. Go mid-week or for Sunday brunch (the best menu in my opinion). In the... more

I've been to Bolete twice. Brunch was excellent- Had the steak and eggs- I requested Scrambled instead of Poached and it was not a problem. I could not believe that eggs could taste so good. Home fries great - and the cheddar scones- out of this world. Had a glass of Sangria-NICEEEE! My husband loved his Bloody Mary. Also sat... more

We could not survive in the Lehigh Valley without Bolete! We moved here from the Sonoma/Napa area, where there are more highly rated restaurants than anywhere else & we can not find anything other than Bolete that is comparable. Chef Lee focuses on fresh local & organic when possible. He & his partner Erin pride themselves on "unconditional hospitality" and... more

There is no doubt the chef/owner at Bolete is fabulous. Every course was perfect, but I guess I just personally get a little ansy after a few hours during tastings in general. Great ambiance and attention to detail make this the perfect spot for that very special occasion when you don't have any other pressing issues and can savor the... more

My wife and I ate here earlier this summer and thought it was just OK. The menu was not very inspired and the preparation was good but nothing fantastic. The quality of the bar menu far exceeds the dinner menu. more

Bolete has been on our dining list for awhile now...not sure why it took us so long to get there. But we'll definitely be back soon! We made an 11:30 am reservation for Sunday brunch. 11:30 is pretty early for them, I guess, as we were one of only three couples there when we were seated. When we left around... more

Wow, is this place special! It has to be the Best of Bethlehem for Fine Dining!! Bolete is Latin for "wild mushroom" but this restaurant is far from being mushroom-centric. It is located in a 200 year old house which has been tastefully renovated to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Servers are knowledgeable and attentive without hovering. The real... more

I have eaten at Bolete several times for brunch and have thoroughly enjoyed myself everytime. The menu changes often so you always have a good variety to choose from. This past Sunday I ordered their eggs benedict which had smoked salmon instead of the standard ham. Excellent! The homemade biscuits in the dish are the best I ever had. Everyone... more
