It is the desire of 1741 on the Terrace to engage you and invite you. Try something new or revisit something familiar but above all -- enjoy. Relax in the ambiance of the room – the beautiful Moravian tile floor and soaring Palladian windows. Admire the charming downtown of Bethlehem with buildings and history dating back to the day in 1741 when the town itself was founded. The wine list - developed to inspire not to impress – is filled with wines from around the world, but with a focus on American wines. Frequent diners at finer restaurants will be impressed with the selection of wines available, but the list has been crafted to make the choices easy for a novice as well. Our sommelier is available to aid wine selection or custom pairings for any menu items upon request.

I've been wanting to try this place forever now. I've stayed at the Hotel Bethlehem before many times and have gone to the Sunday brunch but never got around to the Terrace until last week during Bethlehem Restaurant week. I made reservations for Saturday night at 7:30pm (came with 4 friends), expecting it to be really crowded since a few... More

Simply a great experience. I had dinner here with four others. We wanted something special. The food was wonderful, the service superb. My only concern would be the noise from the wedding in the ballroom traveled into the room.

The food was exceptional, my fiancé and I both had steaks. While a bit pricey, the portions were adequate and all of the food was delicious - and the wait staff was great and attentive. The manager even stopped by our table and asked how our meal was.

Attended a company event at the hotel which was absolutely wonderful. Had a pre-dinner reception at terrace lobby followed by dinner in the ball room. The staff was terrific, very friendly, helpful, professional. The food was outstanding. Venue had such character, charm, and history. While we did not get to actually stay over this visit, our evening definitely inspired us... More

This is the quintessential "romantic" setting -- floor to ceiling windows, second floor location overlooking the quaint downtown shopping district of Bethlehem, PA. and great sunsets. Oh yeah, the food lives up to the reputation of a 4 star establishment. Good menu assortment and the wine list is pretty good for a hotel. Valet parking available (which I recommend because... More

I had a small wedding of about 50 in the Terrace Room and the whole ambiance was classic and timeless. The palladium windows are so beautiful and the staff was attentive to my every request and need.

I took a couple young ladies from Lehigh University there for a celebratory meal after they both had received special awards. Even though we had no reservation, we were accommodated. Each of us had a different entree and were very pleased not only with the quality of the food, but also with the superb service. These young ladies are very... More

My wife ordered a medium-rare 8oz filet with mushrooms and I ordered the baked salmon. Both were done to perfection and served with delicious mashed potatoes and sautéed kale. One minor comment - the kale had a great taste but was a little chewy. Otherwise the meal was thoroughly enjoyable. We both enjoyed a nice glass of Malbec with our... More
