Great Service, Average Food

Service was great. Food left a bit to be desired. I understand that it's in the middle of nowhere, but I had the ribs which were a bit dry and too spicy for my liking.

Nice atmosphere. Lots of movie posters for ones filmed in Death Valley. We had dinner and breakfast here as your eating options are very limited in the area. Both were very good, especially the breakfast buffet. Good menu selection, food was great and prices very good. Much better value than the places at Furnace Creek.

This is the only place to eat for miles around - fortunately they provided us with some excellent food at reasonable prices. The pulled-port tacos were nicely done and presented. The next night I had the prickly-pear chicken, which was excellent. Our server was friendly and provided us with good information about the food. Service was prompt.

I eat here when I'm staying at Stovepipe Wells because there is no other choice. It is industrial quality food and not cheap but you've really got no choice to may as well try to enjoy it. Salad bar is OK as a side but not as the main course. If your timing is off you may wait a long... More

We ate here while staying in Stovepipe Wells overnight during the general spring break/Easter time period, and fortunately we arrived around 6:30 for dinner and were seated immediately. They have a decent beer and wine selection considering the location, and our server was helpful and knowledgeable. My wife had the linguini and I had the flat iron steak. I ordered... More

Very good assortment on Breakfast buffet, 2 kinds of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, french toast, hash browns along with assorted cereal, breads, fruit and yogurt, etc. Food was good, but as others have reported cold. This is evidently an on going problem for them. As soon as we mentioned it to waitress, she brought out warmer (not hot) scrambled eggs,... More

Since we were staying at Stovepipe Village we eat at the on site restaurant, the Toll Road. The other choice in DVNP was 25 miles away. The facility was clean and our waiter very pleasenat and helpful. There is a full menu with something for everyone including vegeatarian. I had the corn chowder which was mildly spicey with red peppers.... More

The food here is decent compared to Furnace Creek. We were all pretty pleased with our entrees. The hostess was rude, but apologized because she was overworked -- not enough wait staff. We were a pleasant bunch, not at all demanding, so there really was no reason for the nastiness. The waiter was a nice guy. The ambience is interesting... More

We had tortilla soup and black bean quesadillas that made a very good and ample dinner. Two excellent jalapena corn muffins were served. If you want more, it's an additional $4. Dinner came to $34 for two. Breakfast had two choices: complete buffet and continental breakfast. The latter cost $16 for two and with its fruit, oatmeal, and breads was... More

Obviously due to your location, you have little choice when it comes to food but the Tollroad Restaurant and the Badwater Saloon both offer food (albeit snacky things in the saloon). We were planning to eat casually in the saloon rather than the restaurant this time around, but bar staff seemed a little brusque for my liking and not particularly... More
