Pet Friendly! Nice people, good food and great service!

We recently moved to Bradenton and noticed this restaurant had outdoor seating so we could take our dog. It happens to be the closest Mexican restaurant to us (Cortez and 59th St); walking distance. The servers were very friendly and took very good care of us and our dog, even though we were the... read more

Ate with my son in February 2016 at Mexicali. Chips somewhat stale right off the bat. The refried beans with the tacos were so salty -- almost uneatable. Just no good Mexican in Bradenton Florida. I've tried 5 different restaurants and all bad. Server was very nice and attentive at Mexicali.

Our server was amazing and food was great. New beans with beer and bacon were especially yummy. Our server Jessica was so helpfull and offered new and different ways to try/ order our fajitas.

We went for lunch and were not disappointed. I had the seafood burrito deep fried with cilantro sauce. It was absolutely fabulous. Our server, Daniela, was attentive and funny. We had a great time. Will go out of our way to visit again as we don't live close by.

We went there for dinner. Reception fast and polite as was our waitress. Very friendly and attentive. The place has been a local favourite for years because of the well prepared and good food. Tried the "Three amigos" which was really good and the steak fajitas. Nothing to complain about, will certainly come back.

Nice place, good food. Plus cheap beer. I got the quesadilla steak appetizer and unlike most other places, it was not chewy gristle, but tender chunks of meat. Served with a side of guach and Pico De gallo. Wife liked her taco salad and likewise for our friend, who ordered a fish special. They had 2 10 oz Buds for... More

Four of us ate their last evening. The table service was poor and very slow. I had the worst nachos I have ever had! I have never seen them served like they serve them. There was no spice or flavor to them what so ever! We told the waitress and she sent the manager over. He stood 2 feet from... More

We stopped in for lunch and were a little concerned to find the place almost empty. The waitress asked if we wanted to try the spicy salsa so we did and it was delicious. We had great service and the place was clean. Food was fabulous and reasonably priced. My husband had the best burrito ever and I had a... More

We waited 10 minutes for our drinks from the bar, another 10 minutes for our appetizer that they only brought out half of. waited 3 more minutes for the other half of the appetizer. Waited 27 minutes for our food. Asked for a mgr after we got out food. We asked politely for a comp of some sort. He told... More

After a morning of shopping, I stopped into Mexicali for lunch and a margarita. Both were delicious. I sat at the bar and ordered the chicken fajitas with guacamole. The portions were huge - I took half home for dinner. The guacamole was clearly homemade and delicious. The margarita was perfect.
