Ok, my son lives in Bradenton and even so, when we drove up I was skeptical. I had never eaten "Cuban" food but he claimed it was awesome and it was on DDandD so it must be good, right. OMG, I had the taste of Cuba and it was incredible. forget the amount of food and the awesome service, it... More

Saw this on Guy Fieri's Triple D and Had to try it. What a wonderful decision. Their signature shredded Pork was the Best I have ever had and the Palomilla is unbelievable. Great service and enthusiasm from the staff AND Jose' himself. I have to go back.

Yes, the building looks like it might fall down around you. And yes the tables are small and few. Nope, this isn't the place to find fine gourmet cuisine. This IS the place to go for everyday home cooking. I've been here quite a few times, and every time I'm served a large plate of extra good comfort food. Yummy.... More

This "dive" was a recommendation on Food Networks, Diners, Drive-in's, and Dives and we are SO happy we made a visit! The pork is to die for and it was everything we excepted. Happy young waiters and waitress and was a pleasant surprise. The place does live up to the "dive" name, but well worth the trip. The food is... More

We were here for a week and wanted to end our vacation with some good spanish food. If that's what you're looking for, DO NOT EAT HERE! Food was tasteless and bland. We had therice, black beans, chicken, shrimp and pork. Honestly, they should try the food they serve, better yet Jose the owner should try the food they sell.... More

We were hesitant at first to eat there but it receives such great reviews. Best Cuban food ever, we've never had a bad meal. In fact, Guy Fieri loves the place. A small hole in the wall but worth the trip just leaving a review TripAdvisor no I'm not I'm just a minute when others level bucks pet care

First, let me explain that we were at a dinner catered by Jose's. Dinner consisted of Cuban sandwiches, pork, ropa vieja, picadillo, chicken, black beans, flan, and bread pudding. Sounds great, doesn't it? Well not so much. The sandwich was good, lots of meat and a nice press. The main courses did not fare as well. The pork and chicken... More

Really great hearty homemade food, authentic cuban. Staff is fantastic and they really enhance the experience. Not much to look at but the food and staff are winners. Would go again.

Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives featured this little spot and lured us in. We'll go back anytime because the food and service was outstanding. We were greeted immediately upon walking in, and our server couldn't have been more attentive throughout our visit. Newcomers get a free sample of their pork to tease the tastebuds. It was fabulous, and the rest of... More
