Expensive! Average food but excellent service!

I ate at the Meadowlark with a family member for lunch. I ordered the Vietmanese cold noodle salad which was very spice, noodles were somewhat on the hard side and for 12 dollars was not a good value. We also had the fries appetizer that was nothing more than thin fries, with cheap cheese and... read more

I've eaten here several times, for brunch and dinner. Everything is delicious and the servers are knowledgeable and friendly. Its a little pricey/fancy for regular visits, but perfect for special occasions.

The food here is consistently good with excellent specials and lively cocktails. I had the swordfish special served over a simple risotto with spinach and broccolini. The fish was very fresh and the flavors of the dish were subtle yet excellent. They have a nice wine list by the glass or bottle. In this town dominated by chain restaurants, Meadowlark... More

Food was good but the noise level was unbelievable. So glad to get out of there and we found a quiet place down the street where we could converse.

Meadowlark has innovative, locally sourced (when possible) food, as well as a carefully thought out wine list and a great bar. It is one of my favorite places to eat. It is not inexpensive, but not ridiculously expensive either for the quality. Food is cooked to order, in a small kitchen, so expect to spend some time dining. This is... More

Very good food though not cheap and the place is a bit noisy for the price and the ambiance is nothing to boast about.

Atmosphere is at least as important as food. If I dine out, I'm looking for relaxation, good conversation and some quiet privacy. Meadowlark needed to create a dining room with some broken-up, intimate sections rather than the wide open tables placed inches apart. Even with carpet on the floor, once the dining room is full, diners are shouting at each... More

If we have the time, my wife and I love going to Meadowlark for lunch. Their fries with aoli are the best in town, and I have always been impressed with the freshness of the food. I cannot speak for dinner as I've only been for lunch, but from my numerous experiences, it's a can't miss for a quality lunch.... More

I really wanted to love Meadowlark having heard good things about it from people who love some of the other Dayton restaurants that I love. But, realistically, it was pretty much just okay. Started the evening at the bar, where we met another couple who where joining us for dinner. The bar provided an interesting drink menu but the bar... More

I am a pretty adventurous eater, so I decided to try Meadowlark with a couple friends for lunch. I had fairly high expectations for their soups and unique grilled cheeses, but I have to say, they failed to impress me. I did not finish any of the food I ordered because nothing tasted quite right. My young son was also... More
