Amazing Food

Meadowlark has innovative, locally sourced (when possible) food, as well as a carefully thought out wine list and a great bar. It is one of my favorite places to eat. Very good food though not cheap and the place is a bit noisy for the price and the ambiance is nothing to boast about.

Atmosphere is at least as important as food. If I dine out, I'm looking for relaxation, good conversation and some quiet privacy. Meadowlark needed to create a dining room with some broken-up, intimate sections rather than the wide open tables placed inches apart. Even with carpet on the floor, once the dining room is full, diners are shouting at each... More

If we have the time, my wife and I love going to Meadowlark for lunch. Their fries with aoli are the best in town, and I have always been impressed with the freshness of the food. I cannot speak for dinner as I've only been for lunch, but from my numerous experiences, it's a can't miss for a quality lunch.... More

I really wanted to love Meadowlark having heard good things about it from people who love some of the other Dayton restaurants that I love. But, realistically, it was pretty much just okay. Started the evening at the bar, where we met another couple who where joining us for dinner. The bar provided an interesting drink menu but the bar... More

I am a pretty adventurous eater, so I decided to try Meadowlark with a couple friends for lunch. I had fairly high expectations for their soups and unique grilled cheeses, but I have to say, they failed to impress me. I did not finish any of the food I ordered because nothing tasted quite right. My young son was also... More

Traveling from California to Ohio, to visit friends and family, got immeasurably better when I discovered Meadowlark Restaurant. In a land dominated by chain restaurants, Elizabeth Wiley has created a true original - the space is warm and inviting; the menu innovative; and the food healthy and delicious! Nothing beats a winter lunch of Meadowlark's hearty soups and innovative grilled... More

My husband and I frequent Meadowlark for the warm hospitality and incredible made from scratch food. The spagetthi carbonara is the best around. The Sunday brunch is worth the lines and wait. We love the huevos rancheros and the mushroom migas. Pretty much anything you order will be terrific. Wiley sources local producers and great bread from DLM. Don't hesitate... More

Chef Wiley has nailed it! The menu is fantastic and the restaurant is very open and modern looking. I will dine here often!

Fabulous food. I love that they change the menu to reflect what is available locally. The only reason I didn't give all "5s" is because we went on a Friday night to this very popular restaurant. We waited for a table for awhile and the service was a little slow only because the wait staff had so many people to... More
