~~the prime rib~~

I'm a huge fan of Prime Rib.It was a old fashioned steak. The prime rib cooked perfectly and was a great cut of steak for the price.

It is like a time warp, walk in and it feels like it's the 1960's. Food average, service just ok. Nothing all that special or remarkable. Compared to comparable restaurants the value is good. During the week you will find it packed at 6:30 pm and then plenty of seating after 7:30 or so.

A little out of the way, but well worth the drive. Reminds me of the old style restaurants with somewhat dim lighting, comfortable atmosphere, good service and really good food. One of the few old-school restaurants still operating in the area today and they make you feel welcome and appreciated.

I used to get take-out lunches from this dayton 'treasure' years ago before GM turn-coats left town. It was always great then, and several recent dinner trips have proven it to still be an excellent dining experience in Dayton. The atmosphere is like walking into an old ship with a nice bar area and comfortable tables and booths. They do... More

There were 20 of us for a family party. I was very impressed with how fast the service was considering the size of our group. Salads came quickly followed by our entrees. The food is delicious and the menu has many options. The service was exceptional. Prices are very reasonable. This restuarant is rather dark on the inside and reminisent... More

Had the bacon wrapped scallops and NY strip both were fantastic. The rest of my party had stuffed flounder and a French dip all liked their dinners. The nostalgic atmosphere and old restaurant traditions are as pleasing as the food.

I have had lunch there before and the lunches are good- nothing fancy. I also go to a meeting there for 15-20 people about three times a year in the upstairs area. The food is usually good and the service is fine- I usually get a fish dish at the group meetings but they also offer steak and chicken. The... More

Went there for the first tine last Saturday evening with another couple. Food was great! Hot and no complaints. Asked if wanted appetizers and of course yes was the answer. The shrimp cocktail was beautiful and delicious, as was the shrimp sauce that came with it! Two of us got filets and the other two the seafood platter. Steaks were... More

From the old barber chairs in the lobby to the captain's chairs in the dining room and 1970's decor, Treasure Island is a wonderful step back in time. The food and drinks are first-rate and the prices very affordable. I prefer Friday night when they have clam chowder and a grilled seafood special. The Treasure Island chowder is as good... More

Four of us went on a Friday evening for dinner. Two of us had prime rib, one had NY strip, and one had scallops. Three of us had the house salad. The prime rib that I had was excellent and came rare as ordered. The house salad was very good. Over all the meal was great for the area we... More
