We have been eating there on special occasions for over 30 ears. Locally owned -still can compete with top chain steak houses. Be sure and order the stewed tomato and fried onions. They are great. No reservations taken (at least for common folks). -and you pay with cash. -but it is a must for a good steak in Dayton.

A UD parents hangout. Generally good food, but crowded and waitresses look like they rather be somewhere else. Better have cash, checkbook, or their proprietary credit card because unlike every other restaurant they don't take MC or Visa. Steak is good, but no way the best in America, not even the best in Dayton. I rather go to the Paragon.

The Pine Club is a classic steak house. The name denotes the interior, pine cladding on all of the walls. There is a no reservations policy that has been in effect for generations. First come, first served. But not to worry, half of the restaurant is a bar with ample seating. The booths are small but the portions are large.... More

The Pine Club is a wonderful step back in time. It is a traditional, old fashioned steak joint complete with red banquettes, linoleum floor, and knotty pine walls. I am sure it has not changed its décor significantly since it opened in 1947. The no-nonsense wait staff does not easily tolerate timid souls or hi-falutin' attitudes, but the service is... More

If you are anywhere near Dayton, Ohio do not miss the filet at the Pine Club. Invariably done perfectly, as ordered, and the rest of the experience lives up to that. The focus is on meat, so not much fish. Warm, helpful staff in a restaurant straight out of the 1950's. Nothing like it anywhere. No reservations, no credit cards... More

Six of us met here for a pre-holiday meal as the Pine Club has been a Dayton tradition; however, we will not likely return. In my opinion, the decor is beginning to look seedy - I'm all for keeping the original look, but clean it up and replace the worn out! Also, the server was on the surly side and... More

The burgers are made from the steak and the are the most delicious thing I have ever tasted in my life. Dressings are good, as well as the onion rings. Atmosphere is sorta dark aNd boring and service was just ok.

My fiancé ate here when going to college. He would rave about the food here. I had high expectations once we finally had the opportunity to go ... And my expectations were met. Known for their steaks, I ended up getting fish (I hate red meat). And the fish was amazing. So tender. The sides were equally delicious. Potatoes and... More

A deeply rooted neighborhood steak experience. A don't miss if you are traveling into town on business. A great alternative to the national chains. I have been going to PC for over 30 years, and continue to go back. Thanks to the service TEAM..
