First of all, I have been going here for almost 40 years. There is no finer steak house in Dayton. That being said, the hostess was a walking disaster. When we walked in she was sitting at the bar with her back to the door. Finally she turned around and greeted us. We tell her the number in our party... More

Unless you are taking your grandparent out for their 90th birthday and they went when they were young, don't bother! Too many good places to eat in the area to chance a trip to brown st, pay THAT much money for a steak and (what I've heard is now watered down or at least misleading) drink. Don't pass up Dayton,... A classic bar restaurant. They don't take reservations but you can wait a the bar. Steaks are nearly perfect. Burgers are outstanding. Onion Ring loaf is amazing if your gall bladder can take it. Great for celebration or rendezvous. Dinning is the focus here. Service is good. Prices are moderate for really good food. You really ought to go at... More

Good quality food in a low key casual atmosphere. Tried and true menu that offers a varied selection to suit all.

After a fifteen year hiatus, I returned to Dayton and had dinner at the Pine Club which I had frequented many dozens of times over the years. I was intrigued to not only relive fond memories of meals past, but also to see if the restaurant really deserved to be named one of the "World's Ten Greatest Old Dining Institutions"... More

I first went to the Pine Club in 2003. Pretty darn good. Every visit since then has been slightly worse than the previous one. I will never go back again. Too bad. Used to be a good place.

We've been to this restaurant off and on for over 25 years. It doesn't change - which is a good thing! Perhaps the steak entrees are a tad overpriced but you won't leave thinking you were ripped off. A solid steak place!

No restaurant can appeal to everyone, and I always try to judge a restaurant not so much on how much I personally liked it, but how well it lives up to its own intentions, The Pine Club doesn't always hit the mark, and in some ways I question its rigid adherence to its theme, but they know their niche and... Step into the time machine here at the Pine Club- they deliver a steak that will knock off your socks but they don't accept credit cards. They protect an old-school sexy-dark the atmosphere that launched the sound of Frank Sinatra and burnished the swanky look of Marilyn Monroe. It is a rosey-brown world and full of life, wrapped in the... More
