Yum!

One of our local favs! It's popular and busy, but it's not hard to see why!! Add in the historical Wympee building and this place oozes charm. The menu is innovative and delicious!!

Maybe the best kept culinary secret in Dayton. Since they've not changed the exterior, or put up any legible sign, most people assume this is still a hamburger dive leftover from the Depression. Not so! Extraordinary soups (try the spicy pumpkin), imaginative sandwiches, locally sourced seasonal ingredients. Get yourself a seat here soon.

Some friends and I went for lunch at the Olive and we were all glad that we did! The atmosphere of the Olive is very cozy. The exterior has been left alone, which I love since I grew up driving past the Wympee on the way to my grandmother's house. Inside is close quarters, but we had a nice seat... More

My husband and I dined at Olive for the first time last weekend. Wow, what a great experience from the moment we walked in the door. The exterior is a little run down, but the interior, although small, is very upscale and tasteful. The menu was very different from the usual fare. We're vegetarians and there were many options for... More

Olives is an eclectic gem in downtown dayton. It is small but not too crowded and the food is spectacular. We ate there last night and both guys got the burger which they assert is the best burger in Dayton! The meat is very high quality and with the optional avocado & fried egg on top it was epic! I... I had the freshest salad of my life, and I grew up with an organic garden! Friendly staff, very allergen conscious. Great lunch find! Yes, you will pay more. But it would be a challenge to grow that many veggies yourself...

Good fresh food. Resturant is somewhat small and ended up sitting next to the kitchen door which can be loud at times. The food was exceptional! I had the paleo platter with chicken instead of hamburger, it was well cooked and flavorful. My husband had a sandwhich and fried leeks, he is hard to please and he loved it as... More

The olives were really good but there is something missing at Olive, an Urban Dive. The olives were part of a Greek appetizer platter. They were great. But, the tzatziki, hummus, and feta cheese didn't satisfy. My summer salad was tasty, but I finished the meal looking forward to a barbeque sandwich for dessert, from somewhere else.

Meal was good, but expensive for lunch. We were packed in there like sardines, which I have difficulty with, so far that reason alone, probably won't go back.

Great specials. Fried risotto balls are awesome- be sure to get them! Jeni's ice cream for dessert a plus.
