Family favorite

We have been dinning at this restaurant for years and even after we moved to DC, it's still our favorite place to go when we return to the area. The staff treats you like family and the food is delicious. Generous portions and the best Lobster Dien Bien in the world !

My husband and I go here often and were so happy to see there was prime rib for our special couple date, cooked to perfection, and the new mouse dessert was great for us to share, Our waitress was very busy but made sure we had all we needed. The hostess thanked us for sharing our Valentine evening with them,... More

Perhaps I was expecting too much, but my husband brought me here as a special Valentine treat. My experience was only minimally acceptable. Server took our order, delivered our meal and was not attentive to any additional needs we might have had. Food was warm, but lobster and scallop texture was "mushy," which made me wonder if it was undercooked.... More

My husband took me there for a valentines date and based on the online prices I felt it was best to dress up. We got there and it was like walking into the Golden Corral. Needless to say I was over dressed. Our water glasses had lipstick and food particles and it took over 20 min to be greeted by... More

We did not have high expectations, as this looked like any other hotel restaurant. We were very pleasantly surprised, therefore, when we got one of the best seafood meals in years. The clam chowder was delicious and obviously homemade. Based on this we then sprang for the lobster and rice. It seemed expensive, but it was actually a bargain. It... More

It had been awhile since our last visit, and just like all other times we have been here we were treated like family. We were surprised to see the great new color and the wonderful art work on the walls. We were told they were doing some updating and that more changes were coming soon, can't wait to see them.... We weren't expecting much from this place from the outside, but what a lovely surprise. Great home-cooked food and charming staff. We loved the decor - it's what gives the place character - and the food we had was really good and huge portions too. The key lime pie was divine! Highly recommended.

I am not sure where to start...it was that bad. This was a first time visit. We visited on a Sunday afternoon with 5 in our party. The décor is shabby. A previous review referred to the new look so I would hate to see the old look. The wallpaper was peeling, the chairs were from the 70's and all... More

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your visit. I am very sorry we did not meet your expectations. It took me a little time to respond here as I was on winter holiday and I wanted to talk to everyone involved, cooks, servers and managers about what went wrong. You should not have had any... More
