Far Superior To Food on Cruise Ships!!

I don't care whether we come for breakfast, lunch or dinner, the results are always the same...OUTSTANDING CUISINE!! We were reminded of this recently as we returned from a 10-day Carribbean Cruise. It was our 3rd cruise, and the food gets worse every time! There were some meals I couldn't even... read more

The food was delicious and plentiful. For the first time in my life, I had to take some unfinished food home with me.

Many small hotels have restaurants, and a lot of them aren't very good. This place is an exception. Being a seafood lover, it is nice to be able to get some good, fresh seafood. The Duke of York can provide just that. The view is nice too! They also have some favorite items that were once served at the famous,... More

The Duke of York is ideally located, right on the Yorktown beach, overlooking the York River. The breakfast menu is large and tasty, a wide variety of things to please. While the service is spotty, it's sincere. A nice place to have a leisurely breakfast.

We carried our bags to the car, then got a table for breakfast at the restaurant. After ordering, we walked over to the check-in and turned in our keys. Great coffee and a nice variety of breakfast offerings.

My wife, her father and I actually ate lunch here first and the next day, drove all the way back here from Williamsburg to eat here again, this time for dinner. For lunch, I had the she crab bisque and half a club. The bisque was the best soup I have eaten anywhere in my life. The sandwich was perfection... More

We have been dinning at this restaurant for years and even after we moved to DC, it's still our favorite place to go when we return to the area. The staff treats you like family and the food is delicious. Generous portions and the best Lobster Dien Bien in the world !

My husband and I go here often and were so happy to see there was prime rib for our special couple date, cooked to perfection, and the new mouse dessert was great for us to share, Our waitress was very busy but made sure we had all we needed. The hostess thanked us for sharing our Valentine evening with them,... More

Perhaps I was expecting too much, but my husband brought me here as a special Valentine treat. My experience was only minimally acceptable. Server took our order, delivered our meal and was not attentive to any additional needs we might have had. Food was warm, but lobster and scallop texture was "mushy," which made me wonder if it was undercooked.... More
