Great Local Eatery

Somehow we were lucky enough to be seated right next to the front window that overlooks the beach. The food itself was pretty average but not bad in the slightest. There was a great sense of locality at this place which is what I love to experience in travels.

If you like a pub environment, you'll like this one. The Yorktown Pub has traditional pub fare on the menu but this pub has some seriously good grub. The seafood combo platter was very good, as were the jumbo lump crab cakes, and jumbo shrimp. For the turf side of the menu, the prime rib sandwich was excellent. It would... More

Perfect for when neither you nor your kid can handle one more "authentic" colonial meal/tavern/inn. For those complaining about the atmosphere being rough, "Pub" is on the sign out front; get clued in. Our tops picks: Clam Chowder; Crab Cakes, and for junior, the french fries and fish strips were perfect (was actual fish fillet, not some pressed & formed... More

My wife and I truly enjoyed the food and atmosphere here. The wait staff was fast and attentive. You won't be disappointed. The Pub is located conveniently next to the beach as well.

After touring the battlefields of Yorktown, we all met at the Yorktown Pub for lunch. The waitstaff was friendly and they did really well serving a large party. The draft beer selection was great and they had a lot of local beers on tap. The food was okay, I would not select the prime rib sandwich if I went back.... More

Stopped in here based upon reviews on Tripadvisor. What a diamond in the rough! Not much to look at from the outside, but the food was great! I had the Jamaican Jamaican Jerk sandwich. Flavors were fabulous, but it could have used a pineapple slice that fit the sandwich and not my finger. Reasonably priced, well worth the stop.

Nothing exciting here....Crab cakes were more filler than crabmeat and definitely no backfin or lump. Fireplace was full of old nasty cigarette butts

After a long day exploring the Yorktown Battle Fields we needs a place to eat and went to the Yorktown Pub. Good price for and drinks with good service. Mussels were great and the fish special was also very tasty. Compared to the other options close by, this was very good value.

Wanted to experience the atmosphere and glad we made the short drive from our place in Williamsburg. Beautiful scenery on the outside, especially at sunset. They were busy as they were hosting a wedding but we were seated quickly and our waitress was very attentive. My husband enjoyed his seafood platter, kids liked their meals as well and I enjoyed... Visiting with coworkers from out of town. A variety of seafood was ordered - served hot and fresh. Nothing spectacular, but nothing unusual either. Decent variety of beers and beverages. No one had dessert. Crowded - wait staff was so busy that it was nearly impossible to get anything once your initial order had been put in front of you.... More
