I enjoy going to park place. Everytime i go i really enjoy it. The vegetables always taste fresh. the food is always good. They have some of the best fish around these parts. And to top all of that, this place is affordable. There is one thing i wish they would bring back. they use to have the best deep... More

While less-than-stellar food is sometimes something I will overlook when dining out with friends, that which is unforgivable is rudeness out of the employees. Our large group of approximately 15 finished up just about the same time that Park Place closes. As we tried to get away, it does take some time for that many people to take care of... More

This place is a gem. Fried Green Tomatoes, Chicken fried steak with country gravy, Fried Okra, Hushpuppies, Turnip greens, real ice Tea & Peach cobbler. It's rare I find a meal that I've never tried before. It's unheard that it's all great tasting and it has "Zero" calories and there is no such thing a cholesterol south of the "Mason-Dixie"... More

We stopped in for lunch after visiting the National Battlefield. We were seated right away. I had the smoked chicken and my husband had the smoked pulled pork. Both were excellent. The BBQ sauce that came with them was just the right combination of sweet and hot. The greens were excellent, seasoned just right. The squash casserole was a standout.... More

Stopped in today and had a wonderful lunch. The soup and salad bar were outstanding. Home cooked vegetables were well cooked and seasoned nicely. Homemade cornbread was southern style without heavy sugar. Sweet tea was just right. Excellent meal and service.

The food was good, there was plenty of it, and the sides were tasty. What else can we ask of a small town family restaurant. You can't go wrong here, and it is much better than the alternative, fast food or chains. It filled my belly after a day on the road, and I left with a bit of a... More

The restaurant accepted a short notice reservation for about 30 relatives attending a family reunion when the weather did not allow us to hold an outside barbecue. The staff were very friendly and the establishment very clean. There was a little confusion in our orders but that is not surprising when serving members of my family as everyone is talking... More

I have gone to Park Place Restaurant off and on for years. I most recently went last Saturday, and once again I loved the experience. First off, this restaurant is a family owned "country style" restaurant that is located in a strip mall area, so don't visit expecting it to be a fine dining establishment and you will not be... We really this Restaurant. My favorite meal is their Hamburger smothered in chopped onions with fried corn, mashed potatoes, Macaroni and cheese. Wow, what a home cooked this was.

I had dinner there at the recommendation of my nearby hotelier. What great, satisfying Southern food! Make sure to go on 'Meatloaf Tuesdays and get the turnip greens and the peach cobbler!
