I went to Kobe accidently because I couldn't find the no. one ranked restaurant in Fort Oglethorpe. I sat with others around a large hibachi table. The food was OK - which in a Japanese restaurant means disappointing. The soup was thin, certainly not miso. The salad was just iceberg. The Alaska roll was OK, but a bit bland. I... More

Been going there for years and always been pleased with staff and food. Well we sat down, waiting on order to be taken and a roach appears right below our feet.. normally I would have walked out but we were there for child's bday. We killed it and decided to put that aside. Over the last few months they have... More

the value at this place was excellent. we had the lunch special which was $7.99 and we had steak shrimp and chicken. The atomsphere is priceless. the chef performs at the grill at your table. he was very skillful and made great jokes. The lunch came with soup and salad and your choice of shrimp, steak or chicken , fried rice,... More

Let me start by saying, it wasn't HORRIBLE, but it wasn't great either. If there was any real local competition this place would be forced to improve. To start, we had to stand in the entry the entire time we waited(25minutes) on a Friday evening around 6, even though there were tables open.(you can choose to sit at a table... More

The cooks are very entertaining because the food is prepared Hibachi style in front of you. They put on a show, especially for the children. Usually around 8-10 people can sit at a table. The food is great! They also give you a salad, soup, and ice cream. $$

The habachi cooks are good, but the service from the staff is ridiculous. We were offered ice cream before we had time to eat a mouthful of the meal. If we said yes, the ice cream was brought out and was melted by the time we finished. A carry-out container was also offered without three minutes of beginning the meal.... More

We were with a group of 6, and were treated a bit rudely by the manager to start with. There was a certain area of the grill we asked to sit in, and the girl who sat us said it was ok to sit there. Then the manager came and wanted us to move because he wanted to put more... More

Love their sushi!! You can sit at the sushi bar or at the hibachi grill. They even have private dining booths if you prefer not to sit with strangers. We order from there a lot because you get the whole meal.. Soup, salad, shrimp, hibachi entree

I have visited the Kobe's in Fort Oglethorpe on numerous occassions and have always had wonderful food. The price of the dinner meals, however, is higher than some other hibachi places in the area. Your dinner meal also comes with ice cream, so make sure you bring it up. I have had wait staff that bring it up everytime, some... More
