We ate here at the recommendation of the staff at Inn on the Beach. It is tiny, but the food is outstanding! Fresh, tasty fish served with chips, in tacos or in a sandwich. They also have other seafood. The service was outstanding. No alcohol.

We arrived in Ventura at dinner time. Walked to this restaurant from Marriott. Just off the beach. We ordered one Captain's platter, which was enough to share. It had 4 pieces of lightly battered cod, fries, lightly battered onion rings and a good sized portion of really good coleslaw. It was a good way to try several things. Service was... More

After spending an afternoon on the beach it was very nice to have dinner so close. Good was fresh and service was excellent. I highly recommend the fish and chips. The shrimp was also very good.

From the outside this place doesn't look like much, but just go in and have some fish and chips. They are well done (deep fried, obviously). The portions are large so unless you are starving just go with a something in the middle ground on the menu. I missed lunch and still couldn't eat all of the larger option.

We have been here a few times now, and have never been disappointed! There are many options including some great fried veggies. There is plenty of fish and seafood that is coated with a great tasting light batter, unlike some other places where the fish pieces are mostly batter. In Fall of 2013 they closed down for a bit for... More

There are a lot of places serving fish n chips. Some of them serve very good fish. This one serves very good fish in a unique atmosphere. There is money everywhere. It's stuck to the ceiling, to the walls, to the cooler, everywhere about 5 feet off the floor and up has money stuck to it. A lot of the... More

This was our second visit to this unique fish 'n chips hole-in-the-wall where fresh caught fish is served daily with menu choices written on a blackboard in 70's fashion! You can see it's where locals go to eat good food in a funky atmosphere with dollar bills stuck all over the ceiling as if to say we are "prosperous" in... More

Great service and good fish and chips ( or onion rings) but a little too greasy!! Next time I'll order the coleslaw to cut down on the grease!!

We discovered this marvelous fish and chip restaurant years ago, and we just love it. Everything tastes fresh, and it's the one time we take the guilty pleasure of indulging in fried fish and chips because it is worth it. We ordered a big platter and shared and it was more than enough for both of us. I also couldn't... More
