I could kick myself for not going here until now

I've been in Ventura for 18 years, this place has been here longer. We've heard murmurs as to how good it was throughout the years. Finally, we took the plunge...and it was well worth it. Thi s is the place to go for excellent and authentic Mexican food in Ventura. They have two India Pale Ales on tap and the normal Mexican beers too. I had the Ruben ' s Burrito chili verde........awesome. My wife had the fish tacos, grilled not deep fried. Very good guacamole. Perfect for lunch or a casual dinner.

Been there 4 times now. (Because friends wanted to try it.) A friend and I shared the $14 frajitas. Thinking it would be too much to eat. We both received a plate with tasteless beans & rice. The frajitas consisted of 1 small sliver of over cooked onion, 1 small sliver of a green pepper that had been cooking all... More

After reading reviews, l thought l'd better try this place. lt started off good with prompt service and great salsa. The food was nothing special, not bad but not all that much flavor and l thought for the location they would have more reasonable prices. $11-$15 is too much for just OK mexican food on the avenue. lf you want... If you want a fun local evening out in Ventura, thenTaqueria Tepatitlan is the place for you. The staff are wonderfully friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend having a schooner of beer served up in a ice cold mug. Yummy! The food is fantastic and well spiced. You will not be disappointed.

I'm a native SoCal and i've been eating Mexican food all my life. This restaurant was reviewed by our local reviewer, Rita Moran, who is highly respected. She was right and I take all my favorite people. This cafe is family owned, managed, and staffed. Food is FABULOUS, service is friendly, prompt and efficient. Restaurant is beautifully decorated--reminds me of... More

My niece and her boyfriend discovered this place some time ago. She knew I had a love of the spice Tajin and wanted to take me to try the Michelada and Chelada (with or with out clamato). I shared a Chelada with her and my husband had the Michelada. It was soooo good! I am not much of a beer... More

Nothing like authentic Mexican food, ice cold beer, active bar and great service at a fantastic price. We had Ice cold schooners for $5, carnitas, carne asada rice beans, enchiladas & flour tortillas - its was all very good. . In addition to the great food, the service was fantastic, friendly and welcoming. Never a bad meal here. The outside... More

We went for a bike ride last Saturday and stopped in here to grab some brunch. This is not our first time coming here, but it had been awhile. The food was delicious and the beer came in a huge glass that was ice cold. The place was so busy, but the service was great!! Looking forward to coming back... More
