When in Ventura, I make it a point to eat breakfast here. 50's diner motif, good service and good food. They always offer an apple as an extra added touch.

The breakfasts are terrific - the pancakes - wheat germ and banana, I think they were, were soooo good. Atmosphere is appealing to baby boomers and wanna be boomers.

Great little diner for breakfast or lunch in Ventura. The 50s theme is cute and the food and service make it a good bet for a quick, inexpensive meal. Highly recommend.

I stopped in the other day because I desperately wanted a big restaurant burger. The ambiance was good, it has the 50's dinner style and there were little jukeboxes you could pick songs from at every table and it did look like friends and families where enjoying being there but to be honest I was expecting more. I ordered a... More

On a road trip down the coast, we enjoyed the Busy Bee as a fun food stop. We ate there twice and the freindly staff already recognised us. The food is fresh and cooked where you can see it. Portions are very generous for us Brits, so maybe consider sharing. Coffee is very good and keeps coming as long as... More

Stopped in for lunch and the 50s thing was cool. Not the cleanest place in town and the men's room needs to be cleaned by professionals. Had a burger, they cooked it medium and it was ok. Nothing special. Not a big fan of the coated fries, they were kinda greeseie

had quarter head lettuce and tomato juice for lunch on the new sidewalk cafe tables. Fresh lettuce, blue cheese dressing on the side w chopped tomatoes and 3 or 4 crispy thick cut bacon and half an avocado sliced. Tomato juice was serviced in a beer mug style glass, so it wasn't the typical shot glass sized drink. My personal... More

Busy bee brings back the old times of rock and roll age. The place is a charming diner, with wide range of choice (American cuisine mainly), and excellent service. The food is ok (tasty, but not outstanding), the portions are huge and the price is very reasonable. Cherry on the top to be able to try the music box (... More

Really great atmosphere with jukebox selections at the tables. We had the breakfast and it was delish. Highly recommend the French toast
