service was very slow, waiters say they are bringigng something and dont follow through. waiting time to be sitted is redicolous, waiting time to get your food is worst, then the food is really not all, small portions, and very expensive. the view was spectacular

These people know how to prepare fish. Spectacular view, shabby furniture on the terrace. Good service.

Come for a beer & bowl of chowder & you will leave happy! I have been here several times trying different items, & keep telling myself to just order the chowder & have a beer. I now will take my own advise! The view is Perfect!!!

You can't beat the view at this place. Right on the water. A lot of window seats. Service is excellent. Came here for lunch during the week. Seemed to be an older crowd there. The food is good. Not great, but not bad. The chowder is good, but I'm glad I only had a cup of it. I don't think... More

I've visited here many times, which says something for a restaurant located on the pier which should primarily capitalize on the tourist trade. GREAT clam chowder, decent service...although the hostess wanted to debate me about the shrimp cocktail being down (the manager should buy her my book WHO'S THE BOSS. Translucent fish is not done. Thank God I love sushi.... More

This restaurant on Ventura Pier is very disappointing. It has a world class view and awful food. Service is slow. You can order beer by the pitcher, but nothing else is good.

We had lunch here and found the service great at that time - it was a cool day and there were not a lot of people there at the time so maybe we got more attention. The restaurant was somewhat on the cold side as well. The decor has a lot of ambiance and a great view. We enjoyed our... More

Friday, 2.21.14 my wife and I had dinner. 6:30 PM. Here are our summary comments. Receptionist unfriendly Waiter/servers were not attentive My Denver Sole was disappointing My wife's coconut shrimp was mostly batter. Clam chowder was good! Cost for two entrees and two cups of chowder approximately $50 Nice view. Average/disappointing food and service.

After going to this restaurant every weekend for 5 years, I now find there is no service, terrible food, and no apologies. Over 30 minutes to get food after a flat beer, which is 'just the way it is today', and fish that was inedible, and a salad that was wilted. The new management is P-Yew and the only thing... More

The sunset view is stunning, no question about it but the "Happy Hour" food and drink left much to be desired. No silverware, a diner napkin dispenser on the table (you must be kidding! Really?) staff unsure of what they were doing and the whole $50 experience (3 people) left me hungry. Fortunately EE also owns the Taco Shack next... More
