Excellent food from a little mom and pop place

Stopped there on our way home Los Angeles from San Luis Obispo, wanted to get something quick to eat and checked this little place out. Wow, the food was so delicious and the folks were very kind, even though they were getting ready to close. The horchata was very good too. I got carne asada... read more

driving from Santa Barbara to LA and wanted to stop for Tacos. On Ventura Avenue about a half mile off the 101 is a small nondescript building that is better than anything Mexican in Boston, meaning I am most likely a neophyte compared to many of you out in this part of the world, and yet I know what I... I've eaten great Mexican food before, I've even had the pleasure of doing so in Mexico ... was I expecting too much given the rave reviews on here .... The tacos al pastor were what everyone was getting, they were alright, nothing special and ours never got the pineapple chunks either. The birria de chivo tacos were AWFUL - gristle... More

1801 E Ventura Blvd, Oxnard, CA 93036 is in a strip mall, rather tricky to get to, but so worth your attention! The menu is in Spanish (thank God for pictures), the staff speaks with thick accents, Spanish tv playing international soccer games are on the tv's... All I knew for sure was that I ordered a bottle of Mexican... More

If you are looking for "Delicious Authentic Mexican Food" then you will find it at this small dining establishment in a strip mall with easy on and off access to the 101. The counter service is quick and efficient. The staff friendly, and the food very good. I can not say that is my favorite Mexican restaurant in town as... More

Don't stop if you're counting calories. This is a splurge! You have to go to enjoy yourself and eat the real deal in Mexican food. If you're Mexican it will remind you of home. If you're not, you'll get a taste of what you missed.

On our way home to Murrieta, California from Monterrey, we stopped at this little taco shop. The food was so delicious I had to write about it. Flavor , friendly service with smiles. This Taqueria will definitely be a regular stop for us. Phone Number (805) 653-8052

Having alambres for the first time was very different...I enjoy the chance to sample a hole in the wall Mexican place. While there are many of them, for an outsider like me I usually never take a chance. The fortechon was more of a family plate than the usual taco platter, so I will need to sample even more off... Nothing fancy, just a good little restaurant with great tacos, salsas and other goodies to eat. Good service, great prices.

Very small neighborhood restaurant and the food is delicious. We went because of trip advisor recommendations and have eaten there twice in a week. The food is very authentic and my husband loved the salsa bar. They use a lot of white Mexican cheese which is wonderful. I had the cheese enchiladas and they were great. I would definitely recommend... More
