Having alambres for the first time was very different...I enjoy the chance to sample a hole in the wall Mexican place. While there are many of them, for an outsider like me I usually never take a chance. The fortechon was more of a family plate than the usual taco platter, so I will need to sample even more off... Nothing fancy, just a good little restaurant with great tacos, salsas and other goodies to eat. Good service, great prices.

Very small neighborhood restaurant and the food is delicious. We went because of trip advisor recommendations and have eaten there twice in a week. The food is very authentic and my husband loved the salsa bar. They use a lot of white Mexican cheese which is wonderful. I had the cheese enchiladas and they were great. I would definitely recommend... More

The name "Cuernavaca" as in Morelos in central gives you a hint that the food will be different here. The same old endlessly boring SoCal interpretation of Norteno food is not to be found, which is a good thing. Have driven by it a hundred times and we showed up rather late on a busy weekend. They were very accommodating... More

We were so lucky to have stumbled upon this simple little taqueria at lunchtime during a road trip. The food was fresh and delicious, authentic Cuernavaca food. While the setting is nothing fancy, the food more than made up for any decor flaws. I would go out of my way to eat at Taqueria Cuernavaca again! Don't miss it if... More

This place has delicious tacos. I almost always go for the stewed beef tacos. It is a smaller place and usually very busy, although I've never had to wait long for my food.

Understated restaurant, incredible authentic Mexican faire. Our family walked in and their hopes seemed to be deflated by the interior appearance. I got some flack for making the trek here. Now that every bite has been consumed, I'm the hero for today. Don't miss out. The ratings are on target.

Excellent food! Local and homemade. The pork tacos were amazing! The chips were delish and the salsa was yummy. My husband & I to each have 3 tacos with rice and beans with a beer was less than $30. I love walking into a place and seeing people who live there eating. Authentic food from Cuernvaca! The area seemed a... More

Head about 11 blocks up Ventura avenue and you can find a pleasant, non-pretentious sit down eatery with the best Mexican food in the area. Quality traditional Mexican fare done with the California style less grease and more fresh. Give Sopes, Gorditas and more familiar fare a try! The service is excellent and the prices are right. You just have... More

My family arrived to Taqueria Cuernavaca fifteen minutes before closing on a Monday night. We travelled all day from Sedona and were tired, hungry and cranky with another hour to go to our destination, Montecito. When we arrived, we were treated like true guests. The waitstaff were very attentive in spite of doing some closing chores. The place is a... More
