Classic Fish Tacos, a block from the beach...

This place is always busy, but worth the wait. Get the fish tacos. You won 't be sorry. It's easier if you get them to take away.

give this place a try! You won't be disappointed! I had the tempura fish taco with sweet chili sauce. Atmosphere was great and the service was excellent!

Good fish tacos and fish and chips. Typical beach town atmosphere. Good location. Happy hour is always a popular time.

Casual, delicious place. Highly recommended for some great fish tacos or burritos. We also enjoyed the clam chowder. A+ service

The fish tacos are amazing! I also love the chowder and poke salad. I have never had a bad experience.

We ordered take out for the office and some of the group had not been there yet, including me! Awesome fish tacos! The rest of our group had fish burritos which they all loved too. Great that they give you so many side sauces to choose from. Will definitely return when in area.

Based on reviews was looking foward to claim chowder. Very bad. To loose to salty . Strong taste of bacon? Really bad!! The picture on their web site it looked really good and thick. Dont waste your money and time on the claim chowder.

This is my favorite place in the world for fish tacos. The grilled fish is delicious. The tacos swell with a heaping bounty of ingredients. The sauce is zesty and hot enough to feel the next day. Wash them down with ice cold beer on tap and you will be dying to come back again and again.

Spencer Makenzies is one of those local places that just makes delicious food. It's not fancy (indoor and outdoor dining), but it's delicious food within walking distance from the Ventura pier. I always get the seafood burrito with vegetables added. The vegetables are brocolli, zuchinni and other real vegies, not just bell peppers and onions like other places. They also... More

I'm neither a friend of the family, a relative, nor do I work with anyone in the family- I was expecting a whole different experience given the reviews written here.. the place is ok- nothing out of the ordinary- better places downtown for the same price. In all fairness taco's and fish together do not appeal to me. Like I said... More
