Our daughter made reservations for the four of us for brunch. She requested a booth by the window. The place was deserted. They brought us to a table with a booth on one side that is shared with others away from the window facing the wall. She said she requested a booth and the host said "we have reserved this... More

This is a fine restaurant, food is good, staff was competent, but it is pricey, The owner did a great job in adding the third floor and matched the existing historical building. They are working to have an upscale place in downtown and they should not be faulted for this, but it is not my cup-of-tea. Doorman (bouncers in suits)... More

Two years ago, I would have called Watermark one of Ventura's top restaurants and given it 5 stars across the board. I have no idea where its previous chef went but man, do I miss him! He made an awesome osso bucco. Watermark has always been on the pricey side for Ventura but now $30-$40 an entree is unjustifiable. For... More

We were just passing through Ventura on a road trip along the West Coast and we were so happy to find this restaurant. We had an amazing night here

It's not that the food was too expensive, it's that the food was not good enough for the price! Anyone that thinks the food here is superb, wonderful or amazing, clearly needs to venture out further! If this is the best that Ventura has to offer for "fine dining", we will be looking elsewhere. Coming from Miami Beach FL, this... More

We made our reservation to allow enough time to go upstairs to the bar before dinner. But, as with many large family groups, we had some stragglers, so we were running a bit late for going downstairs. The staff was gracious and cheerful about this. Our table was all ready. They had plenty of service people ready to help us... More

They have an excellent brunch selection of items, which I prefer more than the standardized "buffet" all you can eat Sunday brunch. Each meal comes with one free champagne or mimosa, and a second is a mere $4, certainly reasonably priced. They feature different versions of Benedict, stuffed French toast, and a good sampling of other filling meals. Best off,... More

Watermark is Ventura's top continental restaurant, with a super roof top bar, the best and most romantic atmosphere in town, and a good location...even with valet parking upon occasion. If you're going to propose to the lady of your life, this is the place. If you love great scallops, this is the best of the best.

I sat at the bar on a Relaxed Tuesday eve. I ordered a Cosmo (really yummy) and a trout salad. It was tasty, but I want a little more trout in it - 4 small thin slices - didn't quite satisfy. But it WAS reasonably priced! Next time I'll ask for a double order of trout :)
