Famous because it's haunted, but we love the food!

We've been coming to Monteleone's long before they became famous because of the TV show. I always order the lasagna because I love their sauce! It is a very good marinara sauce that is tasty and light. My husband usually orders the Monteleone rolls which are similar to a calzone. We love the... read more

Its a cool spot but the food was horrible. Pizza was recommended but the crust taste like bisquick and the cheese and sauce tasted old. This was not a fresh pizza. The rolls also tasted frozen like the ones you buy at sams. And then our sodas were flat. Tasted like pure corn syrup.

I beg to differ with the reviewer who thought the sauce was canned. I felt it was homemade, slow-cooked on the stove until it was rich, dense, and tomatoey. My mouth is watering as i write this. The menu is very limited, but the dishes they have are very well prepared. The interior is unique. There are lots of found... More

Ever since they aired this restaurant on TV, talking about its history and hauntings, I had been wanting to try it. Sometimes they were closed on the only days or hours I had available, sometimes I couldn't make it on time, so many obstacles but finally, I got to try it not once, but twice. Since we enjoy dining out... More

Monteleone's is a "haunted" restaurant in El Paso! It offers the most delicious Italian cuisine! Very big portions. The Pizza Nachos were a hit as an appetizer. Make sure to walk around the restaurant to see all the spooky decor. The restaurant was is on property where some spiritual documents were found in the walls. These documents are on display... More

This place is weird sort of like an Italian chuy's in a cave like atmosphere. The food is Ok but typical canned sauce tomato -an El Paso Italian halmark. Could be fun for lunch. For dinner its sort of like your eating in grandmas basement.

We (my wife & I) couldn't find this exquisite restaurant the first time going here, so we had our uncertainties last week. Actually, we missed it, motoring by the secluded space and ended up parking on an adjacent street (San Marcial/Gateway East) and entering through the back door--where the parking lot is located! While you can go in the front... More

This food is excellent. I discovered this place about 4 years ago and have continued going. The staff is so nice and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place, it is not hard to find unless you're not from around here.

The place is a little hard to get to and they have weird hours. The place itself is quite eclectic and unusual but in a good way. The staff is really nice but the food is not that great. The waiter told us that the recipes for their dishes were from the owner's Italian grandmother, but something was missing. The... More
