The new location is very well decorated with an ambiance worthy of 5 stars. The separate bar area has bar seating as well as private tables and serves drinks the right way- with excellent service and knowledgeable bartenders. There is an outside patio for cigar smokers. The dining area is lavishly done, with superb service and private dining areas available... More

Although I'm thrilled that you were pleased with our decor, I wish you had felt the same way about our dishes. Your steak should have been prepared as ordered, so I'm sorry that it wasn't, David, and I'll look into it right away. Still, I'm glad you enjoyed the dessert, and I hope we'll have a chance to earn that... More

Although my title is positive, my review on this restaurant is negative. There were 30 of us and we were celebrating a friends birthday. Before I go on, let me just say that we dothis often and navigate throughout the city and we have experienced and eaten in several restaurants. MESA STREET is overated. The quality of the food and... Just average? We take pride in serving up great dishes with fresh ingredients, so I'm really sorry you weren't impressed. I'd like to know more about your visit -- specifically, what you ordered -- so let me know if you want to talk. We can do better than this, so I'm all ears! Take care, Aaron, Owner More

First of all I have to say the food there has been consistently superb, please don't misunderstand this review this restaurant has traditionally been one of the best in El Paso, however even since they changed location, the sober, intimate and elegant ambiance that the old Mesa Street had its gone, muy has been replaced by a noisy setting where the... It really is upsetting when poor service overshadows what could have been a fantastic dining experience. I'm so sorry to hear that you feel our service has slipped, Jose, but I definitely appreciate that feedback and will talk to the team to make sure everyone is taken care of in a timely manner. Until then, I hope we'll have another... More

Steak was cooked wonderfully, tender, just the right amount of spices. Tuna was the best I've ever tasted. Wine was amazing. The restaurant was gorgeous. Moderately priced, worth every cent! 5 star all the way!!

Meat lovers will do well here. Had the Steak Diane in the evening and then back for the short ribs for a late lunch, and they were excellent. Service at the bar rather slow, probably better in the dining room.

Sorry you felt our service was sluggish. No matter where you're seated, you should always be taken care of as quickly as possible, so I'll talk to our team about it right away. Still, I hope we'll get to have you back for another great steak soon! Cheers, Aaron, Owner More

went for dinner prior to concert. We made our reservations ( highly suggested for weekends ) very timely getting us in and the service was great. We all had steaks and enjoyed them tremendously.. If you haven't been, put it on your list of places to go.

This restaurant has great food, great atmosphere, especially at the new location, but the service could have been much better. Especially considering the quality the restaurant, service should be an important detail

Since its re-do I have been very impressed. They really spent time & money on the decor. Good competition for other expensive restaurants in town. Service excellent, food good, but a little too pricey.

Glad you enjoyed, Carlos, but I'm sorry you were disappointed with our prices. Everything we serve is prepared with fresh ingredients, and we've always felt that quality was well worth it! I hope you'll come back and see us again soon so we can talk in person, but until then, thanks for the review. All the best, Aaron, Owner More

Had to finally get out of my seat to ask someone to take my credit card. The waitress disappeared on us. Even tho we weren't less than six people the restaurant automatically charged an exorbitant tip. After the poor service I cut the tip down by $3 on the charge slip but when I saw the bill, the restaurant changed... More

I'm surprised to hear about this, Stuart. I think there must have been a miscommunication somewhere down the line, but we should have cleared it up in the moment. This isn't like us and we wan't to make it right, so don't hesitate to reach out if you want to talk about it further. Hope to hear from you soon,... More

I used to LOVE going to the original Mesa Street so I decided to try out the new location. I went with my young daughter and a girlfirend and immediatley felt unwelcomed by the front of house staff. There were three hostesses and we did not have a reservation, which according to them it is preferred. Which is not a... More

Yes, we do recommend reservations, but we shouldn't have made you feel unwelcome for not having one, especially so early in the evening. I completely understand how a certain tone can make a pleasant evening turn sour, and I'll be sure to speak to the whole team about that right away. However, I know we're better than this, and I'm...
