Super place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - delicious Mexican food! And nice ice cold beverages! This is a popular place for locals, and a great place for out-of-town Family, Friends, and Guests! Owner is a local guy and makes sure customers are attended to and leave with a smile! Deserves more than 5 stars! By the way, if you... More

L & J is "The Old Place by the Graveyard" and that describes it exactly. The food is top notch, and I've ordered most everything. The chile relleno is the "fluffy batter" version, which I don't like as much and sometimes tastes a little off vs the "crispy batter" version I would call it. Also, drinks cost different amounts if... More

I went here with a colleague right after arriving in El Paso. I was starving, so I went right for the full mole enchilada plate. It was delicious of course, and the mole was perhaps the sweetest/most chocolatey I have ever tasted. Standard rice and beans on the side. Also had two margaritas on the rocks, which were tasty, but... More

Great atmosphere, great service, not to mention the possibility of a ghostly sitting. Prices are incredible. Must trytheir tacos. Started out as an appetizer, but you can't eat only one.

Absolutely a good choice for Mexican food. Weekdays after 4 pm and every weekend, they have a mini happy hour food selection. Good stuff.

This place is not much to look at outside but it is awesome. Good food and service. Our food was out within 20 minutes of ordering. There chilli was hot and so delicious. I so recommend this restaurant. On a side note there is supposedly a ghost in the bathroom. So make sure use the facilities before going to this... More

Nostalgia and delicious. Green chicken enchiladas were my favorite. It's old location but worth the trip. Recently expanded and more family sit AREA.

Cannot understand why this has been reviewed so favorably. The food is quite ordinary, service decidedly below average, and atmosphere is lacking - unless you like eating in a loud place at very close quarters. I've traveled all over the world and this place was disappointing. So many other places in this great city. I'd skip this one.

I ate at L&J Café for dinner on 9/2/14 on a trip to El Paso for work. This is the 2nd time I've been there and the food was excellent again. They have all of the traditional Mexican favorites you can think of, along with 2 tasty sauces for the chips (with the red being much spicier than the green).... More

We have not been to many mexican restaurant's here in El Paso. This restaurant came up in our search. I had the chicken taco. I would rate the service and food very good for this visit.
