Don't be put off by the location / exterior!

Really glad I read the tripadvisor reviews & took the time to check it out. Went with family, was very good.

Very interesting and fun place to visit. Steaks are great but the sides leave much to be desired. Definitely worth the time and inconvenience of driving way out to its fairly remote location.

We tried this place out due the to great reviews. We were not overly impressed with the food. The green chili queso was awesome, besides that the food was average. Granted, we are used to more Tex-Mex food, while this may be more authentic Mexican. Our waitress was very friendly. They do serve large quantities of food. I tried the... More

The low carb ground beef red "enchiladas" have an INCREDIBLE flavor. There is a touch of spiciness and the service is flawless. If you are active duty military or retired military be sure to ask for the military discount.

Good food and really awesome service. We sat at the bar and were served by a couple of different bartenders who were both so attentive and friendly! Might be a bit of a hole in the wall, but I'd go back.

Great food cold beer... Everyone is friendly and welcoming...could use some work on bathrooms and fixtures but I guess that's what give it uniqueness and flare!! Hats off

Was recently in El Paso for 3 days. L&J was so good that we went back there twice. Service is great and the burritos are fantastic - try the Chile Relleno burrito...fantastic. Beer selection is just ok, but at least they have Negra Modelo and Ugly Pug.

Many happy diners served over many years at this location. Like other reviews expressed "from the outside you wouldn't think much of it," the inside ain't much either." Locals flock here. The Mexican food is good, chips are crisp, green sauce is better on chips. Queso Fundido is gooey cheddar with chorizo (YUM!) Fajitas are best menu item and smell... More

This is the place for Mexican food. The prices are very reasonable, the service fantastic, the food exceptional - filling a good-sized platter. Their Chile Rellano is the best I've had - better than Abuelos - and sopies come with the meal!. [L & J uses a poblano pepper; Maria's in Santa Fe uses a green chile pepper.] This is... More

Heard about this place from several people and gave it a try. From the outside you wouldn't think much of it. The inside is also not much to speak of. Very clean, pictures of celebrities who've been there all over the walls. The staff friendly. The food? Wonderful! A great blend of flavors. Had dinner and came back for lunch... More
