Came in for some BBQ, and what a variety there is. The three meat combos were a hit with my sons, lean brisket for the picky hubby, and my ribs were fantastic. The portions are huge so come hungry. Our server was attentive and this place was packed. The beers were cold and the cocktail was perfect. Found out on... More

Father's Day was coming up this year, and my Daddy wanted to eat at State Line on the day. As I now live in Dublin, Ireland, I couldn't pay for (or attend) dinner in person. I decided to get him a gift card so Father's Day dinner would be on me. I emailed State Line directly and then sent me... More

We were told by a former resident of El Paso to add this to our list of musts. We were not disappointed. My son and I both had the pulled pork sandwich. He had a side of potato salad and I had a side of baked beans. The pork was delicious. Tender and juice with a slightly spice sauce on... More

This place is a good restaurant to go get ribs. BBQ tastes really good I don't understand why people write bad comments about it. I have been going there since I was a child and I don't have one complain about it.

This place was hopping! When we arrived (party of 4), we had to wait about one beer to be seated. Then we ordered family style so we could taste lots of different Q. The service was very good considering how busy she was. She took care in explaining the menu and ordering system. The brisket and ribs were a hit... More

Highly recommended so I drove across town to go to the state line for some famous texas BBQ. I missed it since I lived in Austin in 1999-2000. The county line was famous there. SO, I ordered a sampler platter to get a taste of several items. All were disappointing on the BBQ front. First they smothered everything in BBQ... More

The State Line USED to be one of the best restaurants in El Paso, but it has really slid downhill badly. Actually got sick last time I went, so no more State Line for me...

We have been many times over 20+ years. In my opinion, the best item at State Line is the sausage. If you are hungering for a unique sausage taste, then give it a try. For the sausage platter you get 5 sausages for dinner, and I think 3 for lunch. Also, the fresh bread is very good; they have wheat... More

First of all I would like to say that this is real Texas BBQ-- The food is great and has always been great. They also have the best service around---Last but not least-- The restaurant itself is getting very old and looks like it really needs a good cleaning and renovation. Floors are filthy and the tables that have plastic... More

Once you arrive at the State Line restaurant you are not in El Paso, anymore, but you're fairly close; however, both the wonderful cuts and the bread are worth the trip. Sometimes the wait can be long, but, after all, it is worth it. The drinks are enormous, the bread is superb, the mushrooms are a delicacy (I recommend them... More
