Great beef ribs

The beef ribs are the best part in my opinion. Usually one full rack of beef ribs will feed my wife and I. The bread is also good but I miss the old butter spread with honey and cinnamon.

My family and I ate here on a week night and the place was packed. That was likely a reflection of the quality, and quantity, of food served here. Between the three of us, we had the turkey, beef and baby back ribs, brisket and sausage. All were overwhelmingly tasty. The homemade bread is worth the little extra charge; it... More

I took hubby for bday on June 30 2014. He is a huge meat eater and had never been there. Needless to say that he loved it! He order the mushrooms and a loaf of bread and could stop eating. That bread is addicting! His main entry was all the meats said it was the best he ever had. I... More

Best time ever last night at the State Line. The Manager seated us and I mentioned that we were there for our anniversary. Meal came out quickly and everything was delicious. I wanted to concentrate on the meat so didn't est the beans, coleslaw or potatoes salad. The meat on the beef ribs was so tender and slathered with their... More

I really like the atmosphere and generally like the bbq. Next time I go I think I'll stick with the brisket. My wife and I shared a full rack of baby back ribs and they seemed like they could have used more time in the smoker. Kinda lacked the smokey flavor and definitely did not fall off the bone.

We have been there several times an while ok, the BBQ there leave a lot to be desired. Rater band and pricey for what you get. The main advantage there I that on Sunday, their liquor store is on the New Mexico side so Texans living on the west side of El Paso can buy booze.

Cons: it takes a while to eat there if with a big party, if you like ribs, sausage, bread, brisket, chicken, then this is a great place. The atmosphere is good, a little on the dark side, western. I recommend the platters and eating during the lunch specials.
