Traditional mexican

They've been around for long time. Food is traditional if that's what you're looking for. Nothing spectacular and nothing wrong.

I went to this restaurant for lunch with a couple of old retired Border Patrol buddies. One of them recommended it as he has been there many times over several years. I wanted to sample the famous chiles rellenos. I ordered the combo #2B which included an enchilada, a tamal (no, it is NOT a tamale. Tamal is singular, tamales... More

We have been fans of Forti's since it opened....more than 30 years... and we make a point to dine here at least a couple of times a year when we're visiting. For the first time ever, this was a disappointment all around. The margaritas were so bad we sent them back; the replacement was much better but not their usual... More

When in El Paso and Southern New Mexico we made the rounds of our favorite places to eat Mexican food. The food here is really good. It is spicy without being overly so. I don't want my mouth burning from a meal.

I've been here four times lately. The first time with out of town relatives who wanted to come here. I had the Mexican plate to try the taco, enchilada, chile relleno, beans and rice. Great relleno and taco! The chips and salsa were fab too. I returned 2 weeks later and had tacos served with guacamole , beans and rice.... More

You cannot go wrong with the Fajitas here, they are beyond awesome. The chips are homemade and the salsa too unlike other restaurants. My friend got the Pechuga California and she loved it, turns out that is the most popular item here. The food portions are very generous. The Margaritas are top quality, no sweet and sour used and are... More

I was really hoping to like this place. The atmosphere was nice. The guacamole tasted weird. The steak in my taco was poor quality meat. Very chewy and blah. I would skip this place.

One of my favorite dishes ever is at this restaurant. The Pechuga California. I will come and eat at Forti's EVERY time I get to El Paso. The margaritas are also fantastic.....you can tell there is tequila in them!!! (Not just all sweet and sour mix). Their chips are awesome as well. They sure seem like they are handmade and... More
