Always Great food & Service

In El Paso once or twice a year and always eat here multiple times. Consistent quality in food and service. Walking distance from three quality hotels. Super steaks and great salad bar. Good drinks too.

Enjoyed fried catfish dinner. Server was friendly and attentive. Salad bar was highlight. Numerous offerings with large quantities available. Plates for salad bar were frosty cold which kept items cool. Quiet restaurant with bar. Would go there often if I lived in the area. Fair prices for the quality of food served.

Back when I did business in west Texas, I always liked to eat at the Cattle Baron in Lubbock. They had great steaks, good service and it was an overall good experience. I was passing through El Paso last week, and thought I would eat at the local Cattle Baron for a good steak. Was I disappointed. The steak was... More

Had a group of 40 diners, they offered us great food, separate checks. Great salad bar, polite service and an easy location to find

Second visit here in a year and still good. Steaks are good and salad bar is excellent. There was something for everyone in our very large group. Wait staff was incredibly good. Reservations help by the way on weekends especially. Very limited wine list. Green chile - very hot - watch out if you aren't good with lots and lots... More

You must experience the steaks here; they are awesome! The salad bar is a meal in itself. Their prices are very reasonable. Be sure to arrive a little early to each meal to ensure a good seat and fastest service. It can become a little crowded during lunch hour because it is close to Ft. Bliss. No worries, just get... We were in El Paso for a business meeting with our wives and the hotel desk clerk recommended the Cattle Baron for dinner. We noticed as we walked in that the restaurant was very busy for a Thursday night. We ordered drinks and skipped appetizers due to the salad bar offering. I ordered the prime rib, the others steaks. We... More

The salad bar is huge and has a remarkable variety of choices. The flavor in the steaks was all in the toppings and not the meat.

Excellent food. Not as good as cattlemans but at least Cattle Barons has salad with the steak. For some reason, as good as Caattlemans is, they don't have salad. ???? Perhaps REAL cowboys don't eat salad. One of the great mysteries, I guess.
