Recommend by the manager at the hotel...now I know why

I am an avid lover of Mexican food and very particular that it MUST be good. When we asked the night manager if he could recommend someplace, he said Julio's was good. Actually, it was great! My favorite Mexican restaurant used to be Macayo's in Phoenix, but Julio's just replaced it. Even the... read more

The entire staff was friendly and smiling. The food was FANTASTIC and huge portions. The atmosphere was bustling and fun without being like a club/bar. If you are looking for a quiet meal, this might not be your place. We loved it!

We've now visited twice within the past month and each time has been very good. The dining room is attractively modern and warm, the service is friendly, and the food is delicious. We've had the enchiladas with mole sauce, the regular enchiladas, and the pork tips. My favorite item from the menu, by far, though, is their tres leches cake.... More

Lunch was delicious!! Had the 3 enchiladas with 3 sauces with coffee and Tres Leches for dessert. It was amazing!!! The waiter was super professional, food was hot and full of flavor while the decor was modern with a Spanish twist. I loved it!!

I ate at Julio's for the first time for a holiday party of about 35 people. The food was served buffet style and it was all fresh, hot, and delicious. Even with at least two other large groups dining at the same time, we were kept well stocked with chips and salsa and drinks. I plan to return in the... More

I went with my folks who were visiting. My mom got a margarita and said it was really good. I got the chimichanga, it was a little dry and I would have ordered it without the peppers in the caso(sp?). It's a nicer restaraunt and they had live music which wasn't bad.

Barbara and I one evening for dinner. We are here in El Paso working for an extended period and are looking for a Great Mexican Restaurant. This was good but not remarkable. Nice ambiance but the food was just average. I doubt we will return. We are Texans that appreciate not only Tex-Mex but Authentic Mexican food as well.

We went on a hint from family while visiting, being from New York you don't get really good enchiladas which is one of my weaknesses. The service was amazing with their help in what to order and if i make ot back to El Paso I will be sure to bisit again.

No matter who is in town and no matter what their personal favorites are for Mexican cuisine my guests are always happy at Julio's. Julio's never disappoints. Food is consistent. Prices are fair. Service is friendly and the staff is always willing to do whatever is requested. If your looking for a Mexican restaurant to try or if you have... More

The apps are delicious! I ordered the sampler dinner (shredded beef taco, 2 enchiladas, and Chile Relleno with all beans, no rice). Beans were super yummy and the enchiladas were scrumptious. I was disappointed with the chile relleno however and the group of people I was with said they are usually much better. The shredded beef taco however was not... More
