tried this place based on the excellent reviews here. It was alright, but not much more. My mother had the chile relleno, which she was surprised to hear was stuffed with cheese and no meat. I had the sampler; the flautas had very little meat in them, the chips under the nachos were soggy, but the queso was very good.... More

Loved the freshness of the pico de gallo and guacamole. Would like more non fried options. Very good service and very good food. Large portions. Consider splitting next time!

I've been going to Julio's before it moved to El Paso from Ciudad Juárez, and have always enjoyed it. Our entire university department drove there for lunch when it was easy to cross the border. The El Paso institution is always full - but they always find a spot for you! The ceiling is acoustic tile and the floor is... More

This is the best Mexican food in El Paso, TX. Hands down. I always get the Corona Mexican plate. I love it. Salsa is good, as wel las the margaritas. Great prices also.

Julio's has some of the best Mexican food in El Paso -- and that is high praise. The shredded beef tacos are outstanding; the Chiles Rellenos may be the best that I have had (and it is one of the dishes that I use to compare the quality of a Mexican restaurant). The service was exemplary -- from the greeter,... More

This is very good Mexican food with very full menue. I had the whole Bass broiled and it was excellent. The best margaritas you'll ever have -- small but great taste. reasonable prices.

It wasn't terrible but just wasn't good enough...ya know? I wanted a steak a la carte but they did not understand or work with me. I finally just got the beef steak with all the trimmings for $14. I ate the ssteak, which was tough in some places but very flavorful. The other family members seemed to enjoy their meals... More

I ordered one of the "Chef Suggestions" and it was ok. Coffee came back a bit cold. I had high hopes for the pastel de tres leches, but it was mediocre. Mole sauce was a bit better than expected, but flautas were just average. Over all, an ok / average taste for Mexican food. Service was good. The waiter brought... More

Met two friends for dinner. Bar is very cozy with nice atmosphere. So we ate there. Margaritas were individually made modest price and precisely excellent. I had the Julio special enchilada. Mole rich and flavorful with minimum hot. My friends has chimichanga and salpicon both excellent. The check at the end was a bargain Christian the bartender was also our... More
