Delicious Meal; Quiet and Unassuming Setting

My wife and I went to Chutney Indian Restaurant for an early Saturday dinner. We'd never been to the place before and had no idea what to expect. First warning to the reader - if you drive to fast, you'll miss it! Chutney is located in a small strip center - one of just a couple of places on... read more

Stopped by for a late lunch as we passed through town. We were the only ones in the restaurant which, with the unexpected 3rd world ambiance, made us a bit skeptical. The place is small and shabby - and in bad need of some upkeep and renovations. Despite our skepticism, the service was good and the food was quite tasty.... More

One of my friends reccommended this place. It was my first time trying Indian food, so I don;t know how authentic it is but what I had was delicious, I ordered the chicken Korma (coconut gravy and spices) my boyfriend ordered the Masala with lamb (mild). It came with white rice and also ordered indian bread with cilantro. We really... More

This is without a doubt the worst Indian restaurant we have ever eaten in! Our Tandoori chicken was dry and VERY burnt. The veggies under the chicken were VERY black! I can not understand why they thought it was ok to serve such a thing! The biriyani was VERY dry and had very little meat in it, one huge pile... More

The two of us thoroughly enjoyed the South India cuisine offered as a subsection of the extensive menu. Papadums with two sauces, cilantro and tamarind, were served as starters. The Tomato Uttapam and the Jaipur Dosa were served with Sambar and two chutneys. The portions were huge...the quality outstanding. The overall value was superb.

Chutney is one of only two Indian restaurants in the entire city of El Paso, so to say that this is typical southern Indian food, one must assume the other one is Northern. The service was pretty bad, long wait (we were told there is only one cook outback) and when the food comes out it is pretty likely they're... More

My husband, my children (8 & 6 yrs and an 11 month) and me arrived at the restaurant at the 1:30 pm. There were no employees to greet us or sit us down. Four tables were dirty and the rest were in use so we sat ourselves in a larger one. We waited for more than 15 minutes until the... More

Worst customer service ever!!!! The first time I went there was in March 2013 and it took them exactly 1 hour to bring an order of 2 thalis for 2 people at lunch time. I went there again after more than a year, in June 2014, thinking that the experience may be different thins time but they truly proved me... More
