I have had BBQ from Whole Hog several times and I have never been disappointed at any of their locations or when they were catering an event that I attended. The plates have lots a meet and a great helping of sides. They offer seven different sauces to modify the meat to your liking.

My Navy son-in-law was in town and wanted some Arkansas BBQ before heading back to the island. The place really made him happy. Ample quantities of great BBQ with a variety of sauces was what he was seeking and found her.

Very casual, order at the counter and you take to a table. We are meat eaters visiting friends who are vegetarian so that was tough, limited choices for them. We arrived 630 on a Sunday and they were out of boneless ribs and had only a couple potatoes left for our friends to eat for their main choices. BBQ was... More

We visited northern Texas and Arkansas and ate at four bbq restaurants - here, one in Hot Springs, one in Texarkana and one in Fort Worth. It was interesting to try the same things at each restaurant and compare. We shared the Ultimate Platter, which had pulled pork, brisket, pork ribs, pulled chicken, three sides - we chose potato salad,... More

I'm a rib guy, when I want bbq, I mainly go for ribs. Going thru town, I wanted bbq, and of course wanted ribs. Ordered the half rack, which was plently for one person, I still had a few bites left over. These were the best ribs I've ever had in my life. They are so meaty, and the excellent... More

Whole Hog Cafe is our favorite BBQ place in Little Rock. I'm especially partial to the one on Cantrell. The service is good the food is the best and it is a very casual comfortable place. Please be aware that in Arkansas we eat our BBQ sandwiches with slaw on the sandwich. It makes the sandwich nice and crunchy. It... More

The WHole Hog BBQ potatoe salad is the best. Thick, gooey and yummie. The BBQ sauces were also good, the meats were decent and tasty. The atmosphere was basic however.

Cold, dry and tasteless. If that's how you like your pulled pork and ribs, by all means eat here. What I ordered was almost inedible. Maybe it was the time of day (early afternoon) or this particular location (in a strip mall), but the food here wasn't worth crossing the street for, much less driving for 40 minutes, as I... More

As a Southerner, i have grown up tasting the many shades of barbeque according to region, method of cooking, sauce, and choice of condiments. By far the best option in Little Rock, Arkansas is the Whole Hog Cafe located at the bottom of Cantrell Hill. The location is convenient to downtown and several historic and affluent neighborhoods, so the mix... More
