My first visit. I've heard about Doe's from dozens of people. It certainly was worth the visit. The tamales even though kind of small were very good, the chili is all meat and delicious. The chili cheese dog is tasty and huge the coleslaw was some of the best I've ever had. Doe's is a must visit for dinner bring... More

I really enjoyed eating here. This is proper Southern style eating in a simple cafe. I loved the tamales and chilli. The staff are friendly and efficient. It is always busy here and that is because it is really enjoyable tasty food with fast and friendly service.

I've been to this restaurant many times over the years, and can say that it is consistently average. It is neither bad, nor terrific. It has a reputation as being fabulous, and I never really understood why. Perhaps it is not because of the food, but of the very real possibility that you might run into the governor or any... More

Been on my bucket list for years, and finally hot there. I've eaten I a most of the important steak houses in eastern US and I was not expecting that quality, but I was expecting a decent meal. Started with tamales, because, well, that's how one starts here. Little taste, lots of grease. At least the chili topping was passable... More

I totally didn't get this place. The staff was very friendly and the service was fast, but the food was just this side of awful. I don't know why tamales (which were greasy) would be the appetizer of choice to go with a steak, but this is what Doe's is known for. The steaks are big, but the quality was... More

But as they say don't judge a book by its cover.... You'll probably notice a line of folks trying to get in when you arrive. Its a cozy place but there's plenty of seats. The staff is great and happy to help with a smile. The steaks start at 2lbs and go up from there. Best to bring a friend... More

We had enjoyed their tamales in Baton Rouge so I was happy when I saw this location. My tamales served with chili were GREAT!! My fiance had an order also but then had a hotdog too! Must say his eyes were much bigger than his stomach. The hotdog plate would have been plenty all by itself!! All the food was... More

Super good steak....portions are HUGE so they are definitely meant to share....We ordered one small steak to three people and got three salads and more than enough sides....delicious! Very casual atmosphere...great historical photos on the walls, including many that documented Bill Clinton's many visits!

If your ever in Little Rock, Arkansas Does Eat Place is the place for steaks. The portions are family style, I suggest that you go with a minimum of four people since the smallest steak is five pounds. At first the outside looks like a whole in the wall bar, but that is not the case once inside. Way bigger... More
