What a Fun Place!

The bartender at the Hampton Inn suggested coming here. So glad she did! There was a line going in to order our meal. That's always a good sign. We enjoyed talking with others to find out their favorites. I got the boiled shrimp appetizer and hush puppies. Very good!!

We were surprised by the number of menu choices at this restaurant. We tried catfish and barbecued shrimp. The shrimp was super spicy but quite tasty. The catfish had a cornmeal breading and tasted good. The sides that we tried were tasty--pickled green tomatoes, coleslaw, green beans and hush puppies. The green beans were not over cooked and they were... More

A fellow traveler recommended this place and it was within walking distance of our hotel, so we tried it out. I did not like going up to the counter and ordering, then waiting for the food, because we were with a group of 6 people. The restaurant had a lot of choices, food wise A friend had oysters on the half... More

In line at 4:30pm on a week-day, locals and tourists, all ages & types. Rapid service, most food is breaded or fried...but fun.

I am a seafood lover and I was a little hesitant of going to a seafood restaurant so far from the coast, but I was not disappointed. My wife and I had lunch. She got the fried shrimp and I got boiled shrimp. I liked her fried shrimp the best, but I also enjoyed mine. as well. The place is... More

My wife and I were in Little Rock for two nights and loved it so much that we ate here both nights. They have a great variety of fish at reasonable prices. The place was pretty busy when we were there (Sunday and Monday nights) but we were able to get seats without a problem.

The Flying Fish is one of the better places to go in town for catfish, seafood, gumbo and a few other eclectic foods. It's the first restuarant I suggest when taking friend and guests to the Rivermarket area.

Absolutely one of my favorite places to eat a great meal at an affordable price in the River Market district in Little Rock. The menu is extensive from grilled fish and shrimp offerings to the some of the best fried fish ever, delicious hush puppies, great fries, super sandwiches, a fantastic grits and gumbo combination and much much more! We went with an 8 year old and a 2 year old. There was something there for everyone. The fish and shrimp were wonderful. We stood in line but the employees worked quickly and truely enjoyed the food. We had to sit by the enterance door and I didn't enjoy that, but overall a good experience.

Even if there is a line, You have to go eat here!! They move very fast and it was the best Oysters, Gumbo and spicy shrimp cocktail that I have ever had. My boyfriend and I ordered only these 3 things and we shared them all. I didn't think it was going to be enough, but we left very satisfied!... More
