I visited Brownings Mexican Grill last Friday night and it was excellent. I had the grilled shrimp tacos, which consisted of flour tortillas, grilled shrimp, Mexican slaw, fresh guacamole, pico de gallo & sour cream. You also get to have two sides. I had the tortilla soup (which had a big slice of fresh avocado in the soup (yum!) and... More

When in Little Rock, I always visit Brownings Mexican-- Great ambiance. Try a Sangria, it is absolutely delicious and different from any you've had before. There is a never-ending supply of salsa and chips (various types) and excellent food.

I really enjoyed my lunch here. It's like a standard tex-mex place, with a little something special. My favorite part of my visit was looking at the cute design of the restaurant. It is a really cute little hole in the wall. It's worth a visit.

I remember this place being one of the main "go to" restaurants in town when I was a kid. There were only 2 or 3 "Mexican" places in Little Rock at that time. We hadn't been here since they had shut down, renovated and reopened. I probably hadn't been here in 30 or 40 years. So I was afraid it... More

We stopped in this Sunday for something to eat and drink and was pleasantly surprised. The weather was gorgeous so we decided to sit outside. The place was empty apart from us and another 2 couples which was surprising but it was an in between time. The manager seated us and brought us a basket of chips with their salsa which was just... Delicious! Best guacamole ever! We had cheese enchiladas. Wonderful, but could have had more chile sauce. Still very good. Others in the party loved their food, too. They had tamales and tacos. Our server was very attentive and accommodating. Only complaint is the noise level. We could hardly talk and hear each other. Had to yell. Otherwise great experience.

We like to go to Brownings and do so often primarily because of the location. I want this new and improved Brownings to be great, but they are missing some key ingredients that I hope they will consider changing. Wine...they only have a "box" cabernet and one pinot noir for reds. I know they consider themselves a tequila bar, but... More

Restaurant has been in Little Rock for years and many people like it, but for me it is American Mexican. Hamburger tacos and not authentic. However if you like non authentic Mexican food you may like it.

I don't miss this place every time I go to Little Rock, AR. Nice place and nice people. Friday nights you can go and take a Salsa dance class and then have fun dancing!

Recently revived family owned Mexican mainstay in LR. New owners have updated decor and expanded menu beyond just Mexican fare. Fajitas were excellent, with very generous portions. Salsa and chips are good, as was the Tortilla Soup.
