I was staying across the street, so one night I stopped in for a quick snack since the food at my hotel was dodgy at best. Clearly the bar staff are top notch and know their liquor well. They have a good selection of cocktails and drinks in general, along with good information if you have questions. The decor is... More

Overall, it was quite good but pricey. Avoid the Ceasar salad as it was awful. The burger was very good but not $14 good. The drinks were good but the beer selection was lacking.

It is expensive. Spent about $35 dollars on lunch - Cobb Salad, Iced Tea and Soup. The food quality is great and the service is even better. All servers were courteous, attentive and professional. I loved the restaurant décor. Felt like I was in an oak paneled den. Walked around the Capital Hotel. I felt really good after this experiences.... More

It is worth a visit to see the stained glass ceiling in the lobby and to walk around the bar. The food was good, particularly the complimentary black-eye peas and the pickled egg salad. Wide variety of choices, so you can have a full meal of just appetizers and drinks. Thoughtful and attentive waiter. A band came in shortly before... More

I was there as a solo diner and it was wonderful. I had a table close to the bar. Lots of business diners, groups of friends, all age groups and wonderful ambiance of the old South. The menu was expansive and there's something for everyone. The wine list was terrific and even though the wait staff looked like teenagers, they... More

Unfortunately the Ashley restaurant has just closed for renovation, so we ended up in the Capital Bar & Grill, or CBG as they call it. The menu offers a very large selection of very interesting drinks which taste as good as they sound based on our sample. There is a limited food menu. We both had and enjoyed the catfish... More

This bar is historic, cool and the place to see and be seen in Arkansas. Home to all the Clinton politicos back in 1992, it has not lost any of its charm. Great bartenders and surprisingly reasonably priced food. The pimento cheese is justifiably famous.

Ate at the bar – make certain to try the fried black-eyed peas. They have a great drink selection and some pretty creative cocktails (i.e., mules and fru-fru drinks). The food/drinks were reasonably priced. Loved the atmosphere – very comfortable and enjoyable.

Inside the Capital Hotel. Very reasonable. Less than breakfast at the hotel. Just what we were looking for in a light lunch between morning and afternoon sight-seeing. One block from trolley line. 1/2 block from Old State House.
