Nice bar with great atmosphere

This is a very nice bar with an extensive list of beverages and (for a bar) also decent food. It is a good place to go for a pre-dinner or after-dinner drink (after dining in 111 across the lobby). It can be pretty noisy at times, though, so, most times, don't plan on having a quiet conversation.

Had to have a drink here! The bar is cozy and there was a great jazz trio playing. We didn't eat here, but looked at the menu, which had some interesting offerings, although it was limited. It seems like a better place for lunch than dinner. The hotel lobby is a lovely look into real Southern hospitality.

Gorgeous old mahogany bar in a beautiful hotel. Service is always excellent and the drinks are superb. Don't miss out on the toasted spice pecans the hotel/bar offers. You can take some to go, and you probably will want to after you try them. Wonderful atmosphere and great place to pass the time for a few cocktails or a meal.... More

My wife and I had the Vegetarian entrees with each of us starting with a cup of gumbo. The gumbos took at least 20 minutes to arrive. Waitress apologized, saying she had already had a large table of ten people whose order was up before ours. Gumbos were excellent and very thick. The entrees arrived almost immediately after getting the... More

We had a small taste of the food but had no complaints. Service was great and they made every drink requested.

If you've never been to Little Rock, the elegant Capital Hotel is a must-see, and its resident bar & grill has all the panache of an international watering hole. The food is uniformly excellent; try the pimento cheese and crackers, the duck pot pie, or pretty much anything on the menu. The staff is personable and knowledgeable and the service... More

I work across the street from the Capital Hotel and frequent the Capital Bar and Grill for lunch! Everything the Capital Hotel does is first class! The food is excellent, the atmosphere in the Bar as well as the entire hotel is amazing! Go see the Christmas tree and the life-size gingerbread house - they are absolutely fabulous!! Best hotel... My husband and I visited on a Saturday night. The staff were very good and decor was nice. They had a live band which was also very good. They weren't too loud and the music was perfect for dinner. The gumbo was ok, but the burger was good. It was a nice place for a date night. One thing I... More

Always hopping, the Capital Bar and Grill is the casual bar in the Capital Hotel. The service is top notch, maybe even better due to the proximity to the office of the hotel owner. The drinks are many and poured well and the wine list is from the sister fancy restaurant one eleven and so has great choices from around... More
