History of the hotel and fun bar/grill that is worth seeing. Great collection of classic and new cocktails, fun atmosphere with a unique mix of patrons from politicos, business and tourists. Excellent location in the River Market area.

I have been visiting the Capital Bar and Grill for many years. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the drinks are well poured and generous. The black-eyed pea snack is unique and adds to the flavor of the experience. I recommend this place to anyone traveling to Little Rock and needs a great place to meet friends or... More

Usually, hotel bars are dowdy and un-inspiring. Capital Bar is a delightful space that sets a high standard for hotel bars/restaurants everywhere. The decor is a nice combination between historic and contemporary, without looking contrived. The bartenders were attentive, and quick to point out great food options. We went back for dinner and were astounded with the quality of the... More

And the jazz trio playing on a Saturday night was fabulous, not too loud to take over your conversation.

I was absolutely blown away by this dining experience. The hamburger really is the best I've ever had. Local, sirloin burger with homemade pimento cheese on top. I'm not even a pimento cheese fan, but ever since this dining experience, I've ordered a few luxury burgers with pimento cheese, hoping they're as marginally good. They never are.

Great food and service in a venerable and historic hotel. The beautiful bar and rich wood throughout, including window blinds, provides a feel of a Washington, DC "power bar" where compromises are reached and deals are done. Order toasted pecans as an appetizer or snack with drinks. The grilled pimiento cheese sandwich is decadent. Have not been disappointed in 6-7... More

My husband and I had drinks at the bar after dinner since our innkeeper recommended the hotel. The entrance of the Hotel is beautiful and the bar is very nice as well. It was a thursday night at about 9pm, but there were still a few people in the bar. We grabbed seats at the bar and the bartender served... More

This is a very nice bar/grill within a nice historic hotel. Two options are offered with fine dining at Ashley's and bar/grill food here at the Capitol bar and grill. The bar and grill offers a wide selection of good sandwiches, burgers, steaks, salads, etc. A much better bar and grill than your average one that you may visit.

We were on our way home from Kentucky to Austin, TX and decided to stop for lunch in Little Rock. We found this nice restaurant on Trip Advisor and it was easy to find right off I 30 downtown. The hotel itself has a very historic and lovely lobby. They had a nice cold dispenser of lemonade to enjoy while... More

My wife and I came in for a couple of drinks. The service and the drinks were top notch. Be sure to ask for an order of the black eyed peas. They are fried with a really light batter. They are the best and they are free.
