Consistently good

Cedar City really needed a restaurant like the Depot for a long time. I am glad that they seem to be surviving. Good food in a relaxed atmosphere- Chef "Bud" offers a consistently good meal and wine list has some nice choices on it. Staff are very pleasant.

A wonderful restaurant with great food, service and ambiance. I highly recommend it. Plan to spend time there to enjoy the experience. Not good for grabbing a bit between to performances at the Festival.

We ate dinner early 7pm at Depot and was already pretty full but we were met by friendly staff and found a table with minimal wait. Varied menu and drinks list well explained by capable wait staff. Food was well presented, huge half rack of ribs!, and worth the price. Restaurant is well furnished with an upmarket feel. If you... More

Always fantastic food. I was glad when they opened this a few years back to give a nicer dining option in Cedar. We had always gone to Milt's or Rusty's, but their quality was continually dropping. Steaks, fish and chicken were all cooked perfectly. Very busy, so come early.

We are locals and eat here once or twice a month, usually when we are looking for a nice piece of meat, great drinks or to celebrate a special occasion. Our favorites that we order every time are the caesar salad and coconut shrimp, the filet mignon off the entree menu and bananas foster for dessert. Prices aren't cheap but... More

Nice ambiance suggests a 4-star rating, but experience was bipolar. Some portions of inexpensive items like my beet salad were about half a cup for $12 ... ridiculously small portion. Salmon was excellent and 5 z 6 oz, but $25. Wine by the glass starts at $12. Would not return.

The beet salad was very good and the dressing on the house salad was exceptional. Our food was prepared just as we asked and the service was great. The only thing missing was a real bar. Being in Utah, the bar experience is something to be desired. Sure, you can get a drink or a beer, but sitting at the... More

After reading the reviews we were really looking forward to eating here and reserved a table (something we don't normally do on holiday) for 7:30 on a Saturday night expecting it to be full. However it was half empty when we arrived so either everyone in Cedar City eats early or the restaurant isn't as popular as suggested. The dining... More

I see where some others have gotten a steak overcooked. I've not experienced that. And if it were me, I'd send it back. But, we've tried soups, salads, steaks, fish, appetizers and deserts and we like everything. In fact we like it almost more than Milt's. I'd go to this restaurant twice before I'd go to Milt's twice in the... More

Both the atmosphere and the food were comfortable. Be aware the prices are high and plan accordingly. The beet salad was the best item. The vegetable sides on all our dishes were creative and tender crisp. The duck is to be avoided: no crispy skin to hold the too light sauce. The service was fine; the creme brûlée had the... More
