Coming from Chicago, the cuisine was pretty on par and really good. The Mrs and I were in town for a wedding and decided to check out the SoHo area. Not being familiar with the area and a bit overwhelmed by all the people shopping, we found this little gem of a place and it was a relaxing meal. I... More

This was our favorite lunch place during our last stay in New York. Not very crowded, reasonable prices and the food is delicious: try the green curry with chicken, it tastes excellent! Near subway station Canal Street.

It isn't a good sign when you enter the restaurant and it is almost empty. I got the feeling that this place catered mostly to the lunch crowd. We ordered a starter while deciding. How do you burn spring rolls at the ends? This is a dish that is cooked by deep frying in oil that is hot all around,... More

What a great find and thanks TripAdvisor! I loved that it is a bit of a hole in the wall and the staff all seem to be Thai and happy to yammer away - gives the feeling the food is going to be authentic. Good sized menu with lots of options for everything including a nice range of curries. We... More

Tom yum soup and vegetarian egg rolls were our lunch on Monday. We found ourselves here on Monday and gave it a try. It was wonderful and we tried to go back today for Thanksgiving but they were closed when we went by about 2pm.

We were wandering through the City and dropped in to Thai Angel for lunch. We had the red curry (with tofu), vegetable soup and vegetable egg rolls. All were very tasty. Looking around the restaurant it was obvious that the other patrons enjoyed their selections as much as we had. The staff was knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. The prices were... More

The soups here are authentic, the ingredients, vegetables, prawns etc are plentiful and the curries are addictive especially the thai red curry & the massoman which is probably the best I have tasted. The staff are really friendly and the prices good. When I go on holiday I rarely eat at the same place twice but we ate here four... More

I was visiting a few friends who recently moved to NYC and I was browsing on Trip Advisor (of course!) for a great place to have lunch. So this place caught my eye and we decided to check it out. The place was slow at the time so the service was quick. I would have to say they have some... More

We stopped into Thai Angel on a whim for lunch as we were out and about walking around NY. The service was great. The restaurant was very clean. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Would recommend and would go there again!

Thai Angel was the last meal we would have in NYC. From the start it was uncomfortable and at no time was it the fault of Thai Angel or their staff. A couple were eating and were quite clearly having domestic issues. A glass being broken and loud berating of one another does not create a nice atmosphere anywhere let... More
